• Long Exposure - Introduce a creative motion blur effect to dynamic subjects in your shots.

• Action Pan - Create a blur effect in the background while keeping your subject sharp and clear.

• Macro Focus - Achieve vibrant color and striking contrast, even in tiny subjects.

Amazing video quality every time

• Record fluid videos with impressive resolution and crystal-clear audio, even in bustling, dimly lit settings.

• Cinematic Blur - Generate a cinematic feel by softening the background surrounding your subject.

• Cinematic Pan - Slow down the panning speed of your phone for a cinematic touch.

• Long Shot - Easily create quick, casual videos by simply pressing and holding the shutter button in the standard photo mode.

Exclusive Features for Pixel 8 Pro

INSTRUCTION

Start by selecting the mode that best suits your needs. For general photography, use the 'Photo' mode, which offers a straightforward interface for capturing high-quality images. If you're looking to capture a group or a portrait, switch to 'Portrait' mode, which automatically adjusts settings to highlight the subject and blur the background for a professional effect.

For capturing broad scenes or landscapes, use 'Pano' mode, which stitches multiple shots together to create a wide-angle image. When the lighting is dim, switch to 'Night Sight' mode, designed to enhance low-light conditions and reduce noise. For video recording, tap on 'Video' mode. This provides options to record in different resolutions and frame rates, allowing you to capture smooth, high-quality footage. You can also use the built-in timer to start recording after a set delay, which is useful for setting up shots without touching the camera.

To ensure you capture the perfect shot, use the 'Exposure' control to manually adjust the brightness of your photos. This is particularly useful in challenging lighting conditions. Finally, for those moments when you want to capture a sequence of images, use the 'Burst' mode. This will take multiple photos in quick succession, increasing your chances of getting the perfect shot.

Frustration sets in when using the camera app. Selecting a specific lens for video should simply work. Choosing 5x zoom should automatically engage the telephoto lens. Instead, it often defaults to the main camera, adding digital zoom. Then it switches back and forth between lenses. Every lens has missing features or modes. The inconsistency is maddening. Expectations fall flat when the camera quality doesn’t meet standards. Relying on Google’s solution of uploading to the cloud for editing feels inadequate. It’s disappointing. Going back to Samsung seems like the only option now.

For over six years, the Pixel Camera app has been my go-to. Recently, the update made things worse. The interface feels cluttered and confusing. Getting to settings takes too long. Flash keeps turning off unexpectedly. The volume button used to snap pictures quickly, but now it doesn't work right. A new timer adds delays when I want quick shots. Photo quality suffered; images come out darker with bad blur in portrait mode. Zooming in video mode feels shaky. The app causes my phone to heat up and drains the battery rapidly.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro camera really frustrates me. The delays drive me crazy. The flash never turns on by itself, and the photo quality just isn’t good. I’ve tried changing settings, resetting the cache, and followed all the suggestions, but nothing has improved. It should be easy for someone like me who just wants to point and shoot without fiddling with settings all the time. So disappointing, especially since this phone highlights its camera features. Ugh!

The update really made the phone much faster! I’ve heard some people say selfies don’t look as good, but for me, they actually look better on my Pixel 3. Everything feels so smooth now. I love how we can toggle HDR+ on, off, or enhanced. It’s great to have the option to choose astrophotography too. That feature is really cool! I wish we had a "pro" mode though. I get that Google’s imaging software captures perfect shots most of the time, but having more control would be nice.
