Enable or Disable Each Facebook Push Notification

To ensure that Facebook sends only the notifications you wish to receive, go to Notifications Settings and modify the Push setting for each type of notification.
1.Log in to Facebook either via a web browser or the Facebook mobile application.
2.On Facebook.com, click on the downward - pointing arrow located in the upper - right corner. In the mobile app, tap on the three horizontal lines in the lower - right corner.
3.On both Facebook.com and the app, choose Settings & Privacy, and then select Settings.

People You May Know: Based on your existing Facebook friends and their connections, it suggests people you may be interested in adding as friends on Facebook.
Birthdays: You'll be informed when a friend has a birthday.
Groups: You're notified when people post in the different groups you are a part of.
Enable or Disable Facebook Push Notifications in the Mobile App
To modify your push notification settings in the Facebook mobile app:
1.Tap the icon representing the Menu, which is located in the lower - right corner of the screen.
2.Choose Settings & Privacy from the options presented.
3.Then, select Settings.
4.Under the Preferences section, select Notifications.
5.If you want to silence your Facebook push notifications, toggle the Mute Push Notifications switch to the On position. To keep receiving these notifications, make sure the switch remains in the Off position.
6.Once you mute the push notifications, a screen will appear showing time intervals ranging from 15 minutes to 8 hours. Pick a specific duration to mute the Facebook push notifications on the mobile app.
7.Alternatively, within the “What Notifications You Receive” section, select particular items to manage their alerts separately.
8.Upon choosing a specific heading, you have the option to determine which types of notifications, if any, you will receive. You can select any combination of in - app texts, emails, and alerts for that particular notification type, or you can turn them all off for that type of alert.
