Undoomed - 3D FPS

Title: A Faithful Yet Fresh Homage to Classic First-Person Shooters

My time with Undoomed has been a tremendously satisfying dive into the core elements that made classic shooters so compelling, masterfully blended with modern procedural technology that ensures no two playthrough are ever the same. The game immediately captures the frantic, fast-paced spirit of iconic dungeon shooters, but the truly standout feature is the procedurally generated level design. Each descent into a new dungeon feels genuinely unpredictable, forcing me to rely on sharp reflexes and improvisation rather than memorized layouts.

The transition from the methodical exploration of the dungeon crawler mode to the sheer, pulse-pounding chaos of the survival wave mode provides a fantastic variety that caters to different moods. The 3D visuals are crisp and perform remarkably well, but it is the stellar audio design—from the guttural sounds of enemies to the driving soundtrack—that fully sells the intense, immersive atmosphere. It’s a game that understands the pure joy of its genre: constant action, palpable progression in difficulty, and the simple, visceral thrill of clearing a room of monsters. For any fan of classic FPS games, Undoomed is an essential, endlessly replayable experience that respects its roots while confidently carving its own path.

This game brings back the thrill of classic shooters with a fun roguelike twist. It’s packed with nostalgia, making each session feel exciting. Just one small issue with the button layout—sometimes I accidentally fire when I mean to turn. Despite that, the experience is super enjoyable!

This game makes for a solid Doom clone, but it could use some tweaks. The survival mode feels incomplete. On the second wave, demons just halt their spawning. It would be great to see endless waves or at least a lot more added. Also, the demons lack a decent pathfinding system. In the dungeon mode's fourth level, there's a lake of poison and a black demon gets stuck right at the edge, unable to cross. Addressing these issues would definitely earn a five-star rating from me.

This game feels like a throwback to the classic Doom style, and it has its moments. The enemies pop up in waves, and most of them go down without much trouble. Controls move effortlessly, making it easy to jump into action. I did hit a snag once with a dungeon where a staircase was blocked off, trapping me in an unbeatable spot. That was frustrating for sure. However, there's a glaring problem with the respawn feature after you die for the second time. My character's hands got all weird and shrank, which led to some messy situations. Dying repeatedly became a headache, and I found myself stuck more often than not. Fixing that second try glitch would really improve the game experience.

Every level has a frustrating bug. Sometimes, there's no door or a random block blocks the stairs, halting progress. It makes no sense. I saw an update about minor bug fixes, but what exactly was fixed? Playing used to be fun, now it feels terrible. It's a waste of time and effort. Just consider taking the game down.

Everything is better. It has become my new favorite game. The excitement, the challenges, the fun. Every moment feels fresh and thrilling. Playing it brings so much joy. Can't imagine getting tired of it anytime soon!

I love the game! It's really fun and engaging. The only downside is the ads; they pop up a lot. Sometimes, the level designs change unexpectedly, which can be a little frustrating. Still, it's an enjoyable experience overall!

The game has that doom-like vibe, really enjoyable. The controls? They're frustrating. You can't change the control layout, which feels limiting. The joystick remains fixed, and you can't switch that up. The swaying adds to the struggle too. The platforming elements shine, but the joystick issues make everything challenging. It just takes away from the fun.

The idea holds promise but I encountered two issues. First, the rooms are glitchy. A roof appeared right over the stairs, trapping me. No way to climb up. Restarting the game didn’t help. It happened again on another level. Second, the movement control felt terrible. Small movements didn't register at all. Suddenly, my character shot forward like a rocket. I ended up falling into a lava pit before figuring out how to take slow, careful steps.

This new Doom game makes FPS gaming feel fresh and fun again. No more frustrating puzzles. Just pure, exhilarating action. Levels are shorter, giving a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of arcade classics. Players jump right in without worrying about backtracking for keys. It's straightforward. The music adds an unexpected twist, leaning into some Viking metal influences. Vibes are awesome!
