A step-by-step guide to applying for a Studentkort
This guide explains how to apply for a Studentkort!
1.Press the button “Kom igång!” to begin your application.
2.Fill in your Swedish personalnumber or use FrejaEiD to sign up.
3.Begin by choosing your school, press the arrow to the right to see a list of available schools.
Fill in all necessary information within your application and check to see that no box has been left blank, each box should become green when everything is correct.
When you have read and accepted Studentkortet’s terms and conditions you can continue your application by clicking the button “Continue”.
If we have not received information about your studies then you will be asked to upload a certificate that verifies your studies for that school term. Please read the criterias for study certificates before you upload yours.
4.If you are currently enrolled at more than one school then we suggest that you upload study certificates for all courses so that we can see your total amount of credits for the actual school term.
Press "Send Certificate"
5.Good job! When this informational box appears then your application has been successfully submitted to us. You will receive more information regarding your membership by email within 1-3 working days.
FAQS
Do you miss travel symbols on your card?
If you don't have the travel symbols on your card we have not been able to verify you for the travel discount.
In order for us to update your card, you need to email your study certificate for the current semester. If you fulfill the requirements for the travel discount, we can update your student Card.
Why haven't I received my STUK Studentkort for this semester?
Please check if you have a new card by pressing the refresh button when you're in the app. Go to "Mitt kort"/"My card" and press the round arrow.
How do I update my card in the app?
To update your card in the app, you go to "my card/mitt kort" and click on the round arrow next to your card. Then the most recent card will be downloaded. If you update the card but still see the old information it means that there is no new card yet to download. For Student Union member, it usually takes 1-2 days from the time you paid into the union before you can access your new card. If the card does not appear after you update it, please wait for a day.
Can I have more than one card?
Yes, now it is possible to have several digital cards in our app and on our website if you are a member of more than one nation/union/association. When you have more cards it will look like this in the app, at the bottom you see how many cards you have and you can swipe between the cards!
Does the Studentkort cost anything?
A Studentkort is free of charge for students. Where we have partnerships with student unions you may be charged a membership fee from you student union. All eventual costs regarding your membership goes directly to your student union and not to Studentkortet. For questions regarding payment slips or membership fees, please contact your student union directly.
