The Deeniyat Educational and Charitable Trust is excited to introduce a new Islamic Android application designed for Prayer Times, Qibla direction, and Daily Quran & Hadees. This application offers accurate prayer timings for any location around the globe. By utilizing your device's GPS or network services, it presents the prayer times relevant to your specific date and place.

Here are the key features of the application:

🔅 Prayer Times

The application can provide precise timings for the five daily prayers based on the user's current location without needing an internet connection (offline) by using the location services of the device. Additionally, it includes Sehri End, Ishraaq, Chaasht, and Iftaar times throughout the year, which are not typically available in other apps. Adjustments for Daylight Saving Time have been made for both Northern and Southern regions where relevant.

🔅 Mosque Finder with Jamat Time

This feature sets the app apart as it locates nearby mosques based on the user's position. Furthermore, it supplies the Jamat time for prayers at those mosques. Users are encouraged to contribute updates for this data within the live app.

🔅 Selected/Favourite Mosques

Users have the option to select their favorite mosques, allowing them to receive notifications about changes in Jamat prayer times.

🔅 Daily Quran & Hadees

A standout aspect of the app is its display of different Hadees or Ayats from the Quran for each prayer. This content can also be easily shared via various communication channels and is available in multiple languages according to user preferences within the app.

🔅 App Widgets

The app comes with widgets for prayer times and Hadees, which can be added to the home screen for quick access. These widgets automatically update the prayer names and timings, featuring beautiful backgrounds corresponding to the current prayer time. The Hadees also refreshes with each prayer.

🔅 Qibla Direction

Your device's compass is utilized by the app to indicate the Qiblah direction along with other cardinal directions such as East and West.

🔅 City Selection

Users can view prayer times for over 27,000 cities offline.

🔅 Access All Hadees

It allows users to access all Ahaadees at once from the comprehensive Hadees section.

🔅 Enhanced Share Function

Users can share any Hadees from within the app or widget as an image in a variety of languages.

🔅 Prayer Timings for the Entire Year (Taqweem)

Access to prayer timings for the entire year is provided through a yearly calendar, tailored to the specified location.

🔅 Location

The app will display the current country and city if there is an active internet connection.

🔅 Prayer Settings

It offers numerous options for configuring prayer times, including calculation methods, Asr juristic methods, high latitude calculations, and 12/24-hour formats. Built-in adjustments for Daylight Saving Time for both Northern and Southern countries are included.

🔅 Alarm

The app supports alarms, ringtones, or notifications to remind users when it's time for prayer, with the default setting turned off. Users may enable this feature through the settings.

🔅 Hadees Notification

Hadees are displayed at the beginning of each prayer five times a day in the user’s chosen language.

🔅 Jamaat Time Change Alert for Favorite Mosques

The app notifies users of any changes to Jamaat times in their selected mosques daily.

🔅 Help

A help section is available to explain the various sections and screens within the app.

🔅 Languages

The application currently supports English, English Transliteration, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, and Gujarati. Additional languages like Tamil and Bengali will be supported soon, Insha Allah.

OUR VISION

Allah Says in Qur`aan: You are sent for the benefit of mankind. You should advocate the fair and forbid the Unfair, and believe in one Allah. [Surah Aale Imran: 110]

The prophet ﷺ said: The dearest places to Allah on earth are mosques. [Muslim : 1560, An Abi Hurairah]

Therefore the prophet ﷺ constructed the Masjid-e-Nabawi and started 4 works from Masjid-e-Nabawi: 1) Education, 2) Worship, 3) Social service, 4) Invitation towards Deen, amongst other works.

Now it is our responsibility to do all these work of deen from our mosques with an intention of benefiting people and preventing them from doing wrong. That is why Deeniyat Educational & Charitable Trust have started doing these 4 works from mosques few years ago and created an excellent system of religious education through organized maktab and at the same time started management of formal schools established in the vicinity from the mosques along with social service for the people of all faiths and religions.

Now the intention of Deeniyat is to pass on the experience gained over the years to others quickly and easily through our Apps and Website so everyone can understand the work of education and social service and execute it from their mosque or any other place and the life and wealth of persons involved in this work can be utilised in best possible manner and education, social justice and humanity can be spread in the entire world.

By doing this work from mosques it becomes easier to get more volunteers and gives people easy access to take advantage from it, Insha Allah. May Allah Almighty accept our lives, wealth, time and abilities to do all the work of Deen. Aameen.
