You can adjust settings for the watch face within the "Wear OS" app on your mobile device.

Simply tap the gear icon above the watch face preview to access the settings screen!

★ FREE Settings ★

- Customize design colors on both watch & mobile

- Set the refresh rate for heart rate monitoring

- Set the refresh rate for weather updates

- Choose weather units

- Select between 12/24 hour formats

- Define the duration for interactive mode

- Choose ambient mode for black & white or eco-luminosity

- Decide whether to display leading zeros on hours

- Option to show or hide the brand name

- Option to display or not display seconds dots

★ PREMIUM Settings ★

- Personalize your title instead of "GUARDIAN"

- Toggle between eco / simple b&w / full ambient mode

- Select a background style from various options

- Blend background colors

- Set a secondary timezone for digital display

- Data Options:

+ Change indicator displays at three positions

+ Choose from up to 8 types of indicators (Daily step count, Heart rate, Unread Gmail count, etc.)

+ Complications (wear 2.0 & 3.0)

- Interactivity Features:

+ Access detailed data by tapping a widget

+ Switch displayed data by tapping a widget

+ Change shortcuts for the four positions

+ Select shortcuts from all apps installed on your watch!

The optional companion app offers an easier way to customize your watch face with added features and data.

- Option to toggle small/big/translucent/opaque cards (Wear 1.5x only)

- Select from two weather providers (Yr & OpenWeatherMap)

- Set location manually or automatically

- Receive notifications for new designs

- Manage presets:

+ Save your preset with all options (colors, backgrounds, data, features—everything is saved!)

+ Load or delete previously saved presets

★ Installation ★

Watch Face

Wear OS 1.X

This watch face installs automatically via your paired phone.

If it doesn’t appear, navigate to the Wear OS App > Settings and resync all apps.

Wear OS 2.X

A notification will pop up on your watch immediately after installation on your mobile. Tap it to initiate the installation process for the watch face.

If the notification fails to display, you can still install the watch face through the Google Play Store on your watch by searching for the watch face name.

Mobile clock widget

Long-press on your launcher, then select the application widget to place it on your mobile home screen.

Adjust the widget settings through the application.

Elegantly Customizable at a Glance: The Ultimate Wear OS Companion

Guardian Watch Face transforms your smartwatch into a stunning yet supremely functional dashboard that feels personally crafted. Beyond its technical specs, what struck me most was how effortlessly it balances deep customization with everyday practicality. The ambient display is a masterpiece of subtlety – my choice of the eco-luminosity mode preserved battery while maintaining clear readability in sunlight, and shifting to full interactive mode felt seamless when tilting my wrist. Configuring widgets became an unexpectedly satisfying experience: assigning step counts, heart rate, and my unread Slack messagesto specific positions meant critical data surfaced instantly without cluttering the elegant layout. 

Premium truly shines here – replacing "GUARDIAN" with my initials and adding a secondary timezone for overseas colleagues made the face uniquely mine. The companion app is a godsend for deeper tweaks; saving color-blended background presets and sharing them with friends added surprising social value. Initially concerned about battery drain, the thoughtful refresh rate controls (especially limiting heartrate checks) kept my Pixel Watch functional for 28+ hours even with weather enabled. It’s rare to find such polish where aesthetic control, glanceable utility, and battery consciousness coexist flawlessly.

Key Insights & Functionality Notes:

Will it drain my watch battery? Extremely configurable! Disabling seconds, choosing eco ambient, and adjusting sensor refresh rates minimized drain. Mine dropped only ~15% more than stock faces.

Is Premium worth it? Absolutely if you value personalization. Custom titles, background blends, secondary timezones, and swappable data widgets transform it from generic to bespoke.

Mobile widget limitations? No weather/data sync here – it’s a standalone clock. Ideal for desk viewing, not watch replacement.

How intuitive is setup? Surprisingly easy via Wear OS app gear icon. Companion app offers deeper options but isn’t essential for core use.

Can I truly replace watch shortcuts? Yes! Assigning calculator, voice memo, or any app to the four interactive corners made routine tasks frictionless.

What about Samsung watches? Firmly incompatible with Tizen OS (Gear S2/S3). Install only on Wear OS 1.x/2.x/3.x devices.

Troubleshooting install? If auto-install fails on Wear OS 2.x+, manually search Play Store on the watch– it appears reliably there. Resync if missing.
