The most significant problem with ES File Explorer is that its developers were found engaging in click fraud through the app. In other words, the app automatically clicks on ads to generate income for the developers, all without users being aware of it. This resulted in the app being taken down from app stores, and there’s still no clear answer as to whether this problematic feature has been removed.
