Clever Dog - Smart home security

Setting up the clever dog camera feels like a real struggle. I find the device, and it connects to the WiFi. Then it asks me to connect to it but shows my WiFi settings. No way to move forward from there. Tried reconnecting, but that leads back to the "find new device" page. Suggestions in comments fell flat. The issue isn't with my network; it's the app itself. It just won’t recognize the connection to the camera properly. But hey, it worked fine on my wife’s tablet using the iOS app. Since then, everything's been smooth sailing. Still, having a reliable installation process is key when an app is essential for the product.

Yes! The live camera is back up and running after six long days of silence. I noticed an "update" notification in the app, clicked it, and boom! It started working again. Usually, updates happen automatically. If anyone else is dealing with camera issues like I was, give that update button a try. It's frustrating to have these problems, especially since I depend on my two cameras. They've been totally useless lately, and cleverdog hasn't provided any answers.

I had this app for a few years, and it worked like a charm. Then 2024 hit. The software got hacked, ads everywhere, and finding the actual camera app turned into a challenge. I found a post about downloading an older version. I deleted the app first and then installed the version I downloaded. Now it works perfectly again. I went with version 3.6. Just search "clever dog software" on Google and download the apk. Look for version 3.7 or earlier. It’s on my Samsung S24.

I got my Cleverdog two months ago, and it’s brilliant! Setting it up was a bit tricky at first. It took some trial and error. Once I figured everything out, I felt so happy with it. It’s been worth it!

The last update completely broke everything. No live view, no playback. The app just crashes when opened. These cameras feel pointless now, and the money spent feels wasted. The company hasn't communicated or provided any updates about this issue. Customer service is shockingly poor. If it were possible to give zero stars, I would.

Going back to the 2018 version was my last option. The current app just won't connect to WiFi for a whole 30 seconds after opening it. The clever dog device is connected, but it doesn't notify me of any movement. It resets the memory card too. It's so frustrating. Every time they "improve the app," it seems to get worse. Nothing is consistent from one version to another.

The latest update is impressive. It really enhances the experience. Definitely encourages getting extra cameras. Everything seems top-notch.

This indoor camera performs really well. The setup took some time, but it was worth it. Overall, it's fantastic!
