With the FNMT Digital Certificate, you can conveniently and securely obtain your electronic certificate from the National Mint and Stamp Factory. In just a few clicks, you will have completed the entire process to receive your certificate on your mobile device.
To acquire your certificate using your electronic ID (DNIe), simply open the app, tap on "Request Digital Certificate," and choose the "DNIe Reading" option. This way, you can get your electronic certificate quickly, easily, and without any cost.
How does it work?
To obtain a certificate through NFC scanning of your DNI, follow these steps:
1.Open the app.
2.Select the "Request Digital Certificate" option.
3.Choose "DNIe Reading."
4.Follow the prompts on your device to scan your DNI.
5.You will receive your certificate immediately and at no charge.
Requirements
To access this feature, you need to have an updated electronic identification document with active certificates, know the associated PIN code, and use a mobile device compatible with NFC technology.
The Digital Certificate includes a new video identification system called "Identify Yourself Anywhere," which allows you to apply for the certificate entirely online in a quick, secure manner without having to travel. With this new service, there's no need to visit a registration office—everything can be done from your mobile device!
If preferred, you can still visit a physical registration office to confirm your identity completely free of charge.
Please note that electronic certificates issued by the National Mint and Stamp Factory are valid for four years. Throughout this period, you can use your digital certificate for efficient, secure electronic processes without the need for travel.

Which certificate of representation should I apply for?
The FNMT-RCM currently issues three certificates of representation. You can determine which certificate you can apply for based on the initial letter of your entity's NIF (Tax Identification Number).
Certificate of Representation of Sole and/or Joint Administrator:
Representative certificates for sole or joint administrators are issued for the relationship between legal entities through their legal representatives in their relations with public administrations or in the contracting of goods or services related to their business or ordinary transactions.
This certificate can be obtained by public limited companies (A) and limited companies (B) if the company's representative is a sole or joint administrator properly registered with the Commercial Registry.
Legal Entity Representation Certificate:
This certificate is issued to natural persons as representatives (other than sole or joint directors) of legal entities for use in their dealings with public authorities, entities, and public bodies that are affiliated or dependent upon them.
Depending on the initial letter of their entity's NIF (Tax Identification Number), the following may request this type of certificate:
Companies whose sole director is another company.
A and B: Public limited companies and limited partnerships, if the company's representative is a joint director, attorney, sole shareholder, president, director, joint managing director, joint director, liquidator, etc., and has specific powers of representation that allow them to obtain this type of certificate.
C: General partnerships.
D: Limited partnerships.
F: Cooperative societies.
G: Legally-established associations. 1/2002, foundations, political parties, unions, consumer and user associations, business organizations, sports federations, other associations with legal personality other than those mentioned above. Other associations.
J: Civil societies.
N: Foreign entities with legal personality, EO from EORI, IN from non-established VAT, NR from non-residents 210, European public limited companies, European cooperative societies, corporations, associations, or entities with legal personality with a presence in Spain, embassies, consulates, or trade offices in a foreign country in Spain.
P: City councils or provincial councils.
Q: Public bodies.
R: Religious congregations and institutions.
S: Regional governments.
V: Agrarian society in transformation, economic interest group, European economic interest group, etc.
Important: Representatives who are sole/joint directors of the entity should NOT apply for a certificate of representative of a legal entity. They must apply for a certificate of sole or joint director.
Certificate of Representation of an Entity Without Legal Personality:
This certificate is issued to individuals as representatives of entities without legal personality for use in their relations with Public Administrations, Public Entities, and Organizations, whether linked to or dependent on them.
Depending on the initial letter of their entity's NIF, the following may apply for this type of certificate:
E: Joint property associations, unexpired inheritances, shared ownership of agricultural holdings.
H: Owners' associations.
N: Corporation or independent entity without legal personality with a presence in Spain; joint property associations belonging to two or more people in common without legal personality with a presence in Spain; entities with attributable income established abroad without a presence in Spain; other entities without legal personality other than those listed in the legal entity representative section.
P: Neighborhood associations, departments, or bodies dependent on the Administration without legal personality.
S: Central and regional government bodies, except for the regional governments.
U: Joint ventures.
V: Other types without legal personality, such as: political group, investment fund, venture capital fund, pension fund, mortgage market regulation fund, mortgage securitization fund, asset securitization fund, investment guarantee fund, community holding common land holdings, bank asset funds, and other entities without legal personality.
W: Non-resident entities with a permanent establishment in Spain.
