This tool helps photographers, whether professionals or novices, determine the optimal times for capturing outdoor images, known as the golden and blue hours. The golden hour occurs shortly after sunrise and just before sunset, when the sun sits low in the sky, casting a warm glow. Conversely, the blue hour happens before dawn and right after dusk, as the sun is positioned just under the horizon, giving off cooler hues. 

For individuals selecting a home, understanding the sun's trajectory at various times throughout the day and year is crucial, particularly in terms of light exposure and shading in different areas of the house or garden. This app provides projections of the solar path at different times, allowing users to see when sunlight will illuminate or shade parts of their property due to nearby obstructions. 

Additionally, the application can aid in determining the days and times when animals and fish are most active, influenced by the positions of the sun and moon (referring to the moments when the moon is at its highest and lowest points in its orbit relative to the observer’s viewpoint, along with when it is located between those points - based on John Alden Knight’s "Solunar theory").
