Which Games Are Eligible for Refunds on Steam?

Requesting a refund on Steam is generally simpler than on other gaming platforms like Xbox or PlayStation. Valve permits the return of games, preorders, downloadable content (DLC), in-game purchases, and unredeemed gifts, but these must meet certain criteria:
The game must be purchased directly through Steam; refunds are not available for titles acquired from third-party sites or other sources.
You must submit your refund request within 14 days of the purchase date.
Any game eligible for a refund can have no more than two hours of playtime.
Refunds for in-game purchases or subscriptions can typically be requested within 48 hours of purchase, although these are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.It's important to note that while Valve-developed games typically allow refunds within 48 hours of purchase, other developers must first enable the refund option. Additionally, refunds for video purchases are not available unless they were bundled with non-video items.

How Do You Get a Steam Game Refund?
Step1 Log into your Steam account
You can return your game directly through your Steam account, so there's no need to call or email anyone. The first step is to log in as you normally would.
