How to Repeat a YouTube Video on Desktop
This is easily the simplest method to set a YouTube video on repeat. With just a few clicks, you can keep replaying a catchy song or a hilarious video to your heart’s content. To learn how to loop a video on your computer, follow these steps:
Step 1: Locate and Play the Video
Open YouTube in your browser, type your search query into the search bar, and click the video to start playing it. You may encounter an ad at the beginning, but after skipping it, you’ll be ready for the next step.
Step 2: Enable Video Looping
To loop the video, right-click anywhere on the video player and select Loop from the top of the menu that appears. It’s that straightforward! If you wish to stop looping, simply right-click again and deselect Loop by clicking it once more.
How to Loop a YouTube Video on Mobile
Looping a YouTube video on mobile is slightly more involved than on desktop. While there’s no direct built-in option, there’s a simple workaround. Before we start, ensure you’re logged into your YouTube account via the mobile app. Once ready, follow these steps to loop a video on mobile:
Step 1: Create a Playlist
Locate the video you want to loop and start playing it. Scroll through the options below the video, then tap Save and select New Playlist.
Next, give your private playlist a title and click Create. Make sure to add only the video you want to loop to this playlist.
Step 2: Start the Playlist
Go to your Library, scroll through your list of playlists until you find the one containing your video. Select the playlist to start playing the video, then tap the repeat icon (usually located near the playback controls) to set the video to loop continuously.
How to Download Looped YouTube Videos
The previous tips work well for looping videos directly on the YouTube website or app. But what if you need to access the video offline?
I’ll show you how to loop and download a YouTube video using a website called Kapwing. I recommend Kapwing because it’s free, web-based, and easy to use on any device!
Step 1: Import the Video on Kapwing
Go to Kapwing’s Video Looper and paste the URL of your YouTube video. This will automatically load the video into the editor. With the free version of Kapwing, you can export videos up to seven minutes long.
Step 2: Choose the Number of Loops
Select how many times you want the video to loop. As you increase the number of loops, you’ll see the final output length adjust accordingly. Keep in mind that since this creates a downloadable video file, you can’t loop it infinitely—but once downloaded, you can watch it offline without needing to access YouTube or an internet connection.
Step 3: Download the Video
After you've set the desired number of loops and finalized the video in the editor, click the "Create" button. Once the processing is complete, you can download the looped video directly to your device. If you want to remove the small watermark in the corner, consider upgrading to Kapwing Pro for an enhanced, watermark - free viewing experience.
