This approach can be utilized by both brands and individuals, but it is most effective for those with follower or subscriber counts in the tens of thousands.
Twitch Partner Method 2: Grow Your Twitch Channel
If the first application method is not an option for you, or if you have applied and been denied, you will need to pursue Twitch Partner status by developing your channel and meeting specific requirements.
These requirements can be monitored through your Creator Dashboard on Twitch by navigating to Insights > Achievements > Path To Partner. The specific requirements are as follows:
Stream for 25 hours: This is the minimum amount of streaming time required on Twitch. Ideally, this should exclude any pre-stream welcome screens.
Stream on 12 different days: Consistency is crucial, so aim to stream on the same days each week and at similar times, rather than cramming all 12 days into the end of the month.
Average 75 viewers: You must maintain an average of at least 75 viewers during your streams over the past 30 days. Twitch evaluates your ability to attract repeat viewers, meaning having a single stream with 2,000 viewers will not compensate for several streams with only seven viewers. Note that views from hosts and raids do not count towards this average.
Once you meet these three achievements, you will be eligible to apply for Twitch Partner status and receive the verified badge.Twitch Affiliates, who rank above regular users but below Partners, do not receive the verified badge. You do not need to be a Twitch Affiliate before applying to become a Partner.
