Group members features need to improve

Tired of deciphering hieroglyphic group texts and feeling like you need a decoder ring just to understand your friends' messages? Well, fear not because we bring you WhatsApp Messenger - the ultimate messaging app that speaks your language. With its user-friendly interface and endless emoji library, staying connected with friends and family has never been easier (or more fun!). Say goodbye to confusing threads and hello to clear communication with the app that truly gets you. Go ahead, join the conversation - we promise, it's not as complicated as trying to figure out why pineapple doesn't belong on pizza!

WhatsApp from Meta is a messaging and video calling application that is completely free to use. It boasts a vast user base of over 2 billion people across more than 180 countries. The app is renowned for its simplicity, reliability, and commitment to privacy, ensuring that users can easily stay connected with friends and family.

Key features include end-to-end encryption for personal messages and calls, guaranteeing that only the intended recipients can access them. This encryption extends to group chats as well, where users can share messages, photos, videos, and documents securely across mobile and desktop platforms.

WhatsApp requires only a phone number for setup, eliminating the need for usernames or logins. It operates seamlessly even on slower internet connections, with no subscription fees involved. Users can make high-quality voice and video calls with up to 8 people simultaneously, leveraging their phone's internet service.

The app also supports real-time location sharing within chats, with options to control who can view your location and when. Additionally, WhatsApp includes a Status feature for sharing updates in the form of text, photos, videos, and GIFs that disappear after 24 hours. Users can choose to share their status updates with all contacts or selected individuals.

For added convenience, WhatsApp can be used on Wear OS watches to continue conversations, reply to messages, and handle calls directly from the wrist. Tiles and complications on Wear OS watches provide easy access to chats and allow users to send voice messages effortlessly.

It's important to note that while WhatsApp itself is free to use, data charges may apply depending on your internet service provider. For any feedback or questions, users are encouraged to visit the WhatsApp settings, navigate to Help, and access the Contact Us section.

Now that your profile is set and all your contacts are synced, it's time to answer the question: How to use WhatsApp on an Android phone? The first thing you do when you open the app is chat!

How to Chat on WhatsApp

Follow the steps to start chatting with your contacts:

How to Create a WhatsApp Group

Aside from one-to-one chatting, WhatsApp allows you to create a group of up to 1,024 contacts and chat with them simultaneously. You only need to create a group, add the contacts, and start chatting. If your contacts already are in a group, ask them to add you, or you can create one of your own. Here’s how:

Step 1: On the “Chats” tab of WhatsApp, tap on three dots in the top-right corner, and from the drop-down menu, select “New group.”

Step 2: Select the contacts with whom you want to form your group and tap on the “arrow” at the bottom-right corner.

Step 3: Type in the group name and add any relevant picture in the photo box. The picture will appear to all the contacts in your group. You can update permissions so that only certain people can change the group name and icon.

Step 4: Your group is now created. To add new participants, tap on the group name, scroll down to find the “Add members” option, and tap on it. As you created the group, you are its “admin” by default, but you can also make another contact an admin, so he can add or remove any members if needed. To do so, tap on the contact, followed by “make group admin” from the pop-up menu. You’re now good to go!

The app is functioning excellently, offering features such as voice messaging, file sharing, and easy recovery of mistakenly deleted items from the dust bin. There are numerous other functions that I can't recall at the moment. With further usage, I'll be able to provide a more comprehensive analysis of the app and suggest areas for improvement. It's essential for developers to continue their research and update the app regularly to maintain its quality.

Typically, I don't leave reviews, but I feel compelled to express my frustration with the recent update. The latest changes have significantly diminished the user experience for me. If it were possible, I would revert to the previous version without hesitation. Previously, effortlessly swiping between Chats, Status, and Calls was a smooth experience I appreciated. Why alter something that worked well? Now, I find myself continually reaching for the bottom of my phone screen to tap on these navigational buttons, which is especially irksome on a device with a large screen size. The efficiency of the swipe feature has been sorely missed. I earnestly request the restoration of the Swipe function.

WhatsApp has been an amazing app, and I really appreciate its layout. The developers deserve commendation for their great work. However, I would like to suggest a feature that could take it to the next level. It would be fantastic if we could select multiple text messages or images by selecting one and then sliding through the others, instead of having to tap each one individually all the time. This would definitely enhance the user experience.

Although I initially enjoyed the app, after being compelled to update it a few days back, my experience completely deteriorated. I ceased receiving message notifications and could only hear calls ringing without caller information, forcing me to launch the app to identify and answer calls. This situation is truly frustrating. Urgently address this issue as it has become far from amusing. Thankfully, the recent update appears to have rectified the problems I encountered. Now I can easily view and respond to both calls and messages. Great improvement! 👏

Despite diligent efforts to maintain the app's current version, a recurring issue persists. Upon receiving a call, the ringtone briefly plays before abruptly falling silent. Despite meticulous checks confirming all settings are active for notifications and calls within both the app and the device itself, this peculiar behavior continues. Strangely, regular phone calls do not encounter this sound issue. Can you suggest any potential insights into this perplexing dilemma?

This app has truly been exceptional, standing out as the top messaging platform by far. The recent updates have been impressive, yet there is room for further enhancement. Considering the prevalence of group conversations, it would be beneficial to separate group chats from individual ones. Additionally, providing users with the ability to customize display colors and layout would be greatly appreciated. In essence, integrating more customization options should be a priority.

WhatsApp used to be a favorite of mine, but its recent updates have left me disappointed. The once sleek and simple interface has transformed into something bulky and unrefined. The mandatory AI feature is particularly bothersome, as it cannot be disabled. I hope that there will be enough feedback to either make this feature optional or eliminate it altogether. Offering users the option to choose between the original and updated interfaces would really enhance the user experience and make the app more user-friendly.
