One company
TEC, whose legal name is Opérateur de Transport de Wallonie (OTW), is made up of six Transverse Directions and five Business Units. Together, they provide the Walloon Government with pricing structures and infrastructure investment programmes, pursue further development and concrete joint actions and are responsible for defining and operating the TEC public transport network.
FAQ
How much does the tram cost?
Tram and bus are the same ! There will be no difference in the prices of trams and buses. The usual TEC tickets (season tickets, multi-trip card, MOBIB/MOBIB Basic, disposable cards, emergency tickets, etc..) are also valid on the tram.
So what is the difference?
There are no ticket sales on the tram.
How frequently does the tram go ?
The tram will run every day from 5 am to 1 am.
The schedule varies according to the day, time and section served :
· Schedule on the common section
· Schedule from Atlas Bridge to Coronmeuse and Atlas Bridge to Bressoux
How will connections between buses and trams work ?
The feeder principle is applied : bus lines stop at the first point of contact with the tram, except at Général Leman, where some lines continue as far as Guillemins station.
8 Main interchanges facilitate connections, with adapted platforms and timetables. 5 secondary interchanges provide connections, but without specific timetable arrangements.
In terms of theoretical traffic volumes, the new network is calibrated so that trams and buses operate in a synergetic and balanced way. At the main interchanges, bus capacity is planned to absorb customer flows from the tram and vice versa. Timetables are set to minimise waiting times.
