[Overview of the Times Car App]
By simply opening the app, users can effortlessly search for and book Times Car Share vehicles.
[App Features]
■View available vehicle information on a map
This feature allows you to easily find out where vehicles are located and whether they are free for use.
■Specify usage dates and times
You can check availability by entering the desired start and return dates and times.
■Filter options
Narrow down your choices based on vehicle class, capacity, model, and other criteria.
■Complete reservations through the app
Reservations can be finalized directly within the app, including the option to extend your booking.
*Any modifications after completing the reservation can be done through My Page on the Times Car website.
■Set return location
You have the capability to send your return location details to the vehicle’s navigation system.
■Waiting for availability notification
If a suitable vehicle is not currently available
you will receive an alert via email if a vehicle matching your conditions becomes free due to a cancellation or early return.
*Note that another member may reserve the vehicle first after you receive the email.
*Please be aware that reservations will not be made automatically; you must book it yourself after receiving the notification.
■Push notifications
With notifications enabled, you will receive updates regarding new services, promotions, car sharing e-tickets, and more.
These announcements will keep you informed.
*Some notifications require you to be logged in to access.
*Notification preferences can be modified at any time through your device's settings.
■Biometric login
You can log in using biometric identifiers like facial recognition or fingerprints stored on your smartphone instead of relying on passwords.
*This feature is available for devices operating on Android 11 or later that support biometric authentication.

Due to varying device functions, screen dimensions, and resolutions, certain devices may experience issues with app functionality. Please be mindful of this.
■Enhancing location accuracy
Ensure Wi-Fi (wireless network) and GPS capabilities are activated.
Enabling GPS will assist in obtaining more precise location data.
■Viewing a map outside of your current location
Please press the icon for your current location on the map screen to refresh your location data.
■Current location inaccuracies
The precision of your location (derived from GPS or network signals) may vary due to satellite reception and environmental factors. Indoors or near tall buildings, the app may take longer to pinpoint your location or may show errors.
Assume the map displays an approximate location only.
[Permissions Required by the App]
■Full network access
This is necessary for acquiring vehicle and station data.
■Accurate location services (GPS and network bases)
This allows the app to ascertain your current position through GPS and Wi-Fi locations, displaying it on the map.
■Storage access
Used for saving cache data from Google Maps, among other things.
■Access to Google service configurations
This is needed for utilizing Google Maps functionalities.

Essential for utilizing the mapping features within this application.
Make sure to install or activate "GooglePlay Developer Services."

FAQs:
1 What should I do if I get stuck in traffic or other delays during use and can't return the vehicle by the scheduled time?
You can extend the rental period through the TIMES CAR app or the car navigation system (available in most models except some). If the original reservation time is approaching, please modify the return time as soon as possible.
Note: If you fail to complete the extension procedure by the pre-set return time and return the vehicle late, the overtime charge will be double the normal rate until the return is completed.
Please note: Extension may not be possible due to network conditions or reservation status. If this occurs, please try shortening the extension period and attempting again, or contact the phone number displayed on the error notification screen.
2 What should I do if I leave an item in the vehicle?
If you leave an item behind, the registered member who made the reservation must retrieve it using the following methods:
Within 1 hour after return
The member can unlock/lock the doors once using their membership card or the app. After retrieving the item, ensure all doors are closed and re-locked with the membership card or app.
Only one door opening/closing is allowed.
If the door lock system is unavailable (e.g., due to a new reservation), the member must make a new reservation to retrieve the item. Follow the full departure and return procedures, including key operations.
If a new reservation is made while retrieving items, the doors will automatically lock after 3 minutes. Please retrieve items promptly.
Do not start the engine while retrieving lost items.
If a non-member passenger leaves an item, the reserving member must use the above methods for retrieval.
Pre-registration is required to use the app's lock/unlock function.
More than 1 hour after return
The member must make a new reservation to retrieve the item, following the full departure and return procedures (including key operations).
At stations with optional services, you cannot reserve the same vehicle. Contact the TIMES CAR member dedicated toll-free number.
