He believed it to be a relic from a past dynasty and took it home for restoration. However, he discovered that the artwork lacked both a beginning and an end; it had the capacity to capture the enchanting scenery of Daming Jiangnan, melding portraits of people and objects.

Realizing this piece was a remnant from Nuwa, it was derived from a captivating scroll crafted meticulously over decades of dedication, named "Hundred Scenes of Jiangnan." The full depiction of Jiangnan and its historical figures remained unfinished, even as the lamp dimmed.

Aware that time was slipping away, Wen Zhengming instructed Wumen painters to preserve the painting carefully and transformed into a guardian spirit to protect the realm depicted in the scroll.

From that moment forth, the scroll became an illustrious treasure of the Wu family. Numerous artists vied to add their strokes to it, embellishing it with thousands of landscapes and countless creatures.

During the reign of Wanli, Dong Qichang, then the Minister of Etiquette, used his power to commandeer the painting and sequestered it within a library. In the forty-fourth year of Wanli, a social upheaval led to the public looting of Dong Huan, culminating in a fire that devastated the Dong family's collections and artistic structures...

Wen Zhengming, revived by smoke, witnessed the flames consuming the city within the scroll, a blaze that raged for three days and nights, turning the town to ashes.

Surveying the charred remnants of Yingtian Mansion, Wen Zhengming, hailing from Hengshan Mountain, again lifted his brush and invited you to restore Jiangnan's former glory, rebuilding brick by brick and stroke by stroke.
