PLOT
In Dessert Shop ROSE ~Bakery~, you are tasked with rebuilding a rundown dessert shop you inherit from your parents, located in the shopping district of a small but bustling town. With only a few kitchen utensils, a broken window, and a mountain of debt to deal with, can the dessert shop be revived and become a fan-favorite among the townspeople?
Start your baking journey by collecting foodstuffs from the farm. Recipe books contain hints for cooking up new desserts and breads to turn into products to sell. Kitchen equipment and farm upgrades will unlock even more ingredients and cooking methods for creating a wide variety of delicious goodies.
Boost sales by selling trending products to the town, and gain the favor of your customers by fulfilling their special orders. Need help? Look out for the little birds to get hints, ingredients, and more! Even after paying off the shop's debt, there are still more ingredients and recipes waiting to be discovered!
GAME PLAY
The showcase is a large glass display case that holds products being sold in the shop. When the player first inherits the shop, the showcase is broken with only its top shelf accessible, allowing a maximum of 20 products to be displayed at a time. Expansion to the middle and lower shelves require the "Glass Repair" and "Shelf Reinforcements" upgrades, increasing the maximum capacity of the display case to 40 and 60 products, respectively.
To add a product to the showcase, its recipe must first be developed and then made through cooking. As customers purchase desserts, they will fade and disappear from the shelves. Shelves are stocked from behind, so newer items will be at the back of the shelf and later rearranged to fill in the gaps of sold items at the front.
The rate of sale is affected by what is trending in the town. Positive trends average 1-second faster selling times compared to the normal rate of sale, which clocks in around 125 seconds per 10 items, averaging around 12 seconds per item. Actual items have a large variance in sale speed, ranging from 5 seconds to 20 seconds or more. If seen perched at the bottom, the little blue bird will pass out flyers and sell all displayed products at once after the player watches an advertisement.
Developing recipes
Develop Recipe is the default tab selected when visiting the Cook menu and where new recipes can be developed for the first time. It consists of two sections where players will need to select ingredients and then a cooking method before they attempt the development process.
The first section asks players to Select Foodstuff, which are represented by three baking trays. Clicking on one of the trays will open up a new screen listing in-stock ingredients by their type: Flour, Animal Products, Crops, Fruits, and Other. Selecting an ingredient from these tabs will replace the question mark ("?") with the ingredient's image. To delete an ingredient, players can click on its tray and it will be removed. Up to 3 unique ingredients can be selected, although recipes may use fewer ingredients or two of the same ingredient.
The next section is Select Cooking Method, which lists all available cooking methods. The "Direct Processing" and "Baking/Grilling" methods are available at the start of the game. Equipment upgrades are needed to unlock "Beverage Making," "Deep Frying," "Freezing," "Fermenting," and "Steaming." To apply a cooking method to the recipe process, simply select one of the cooking methods by its icon.
Recipe success screen
After both sections are completed, clicking "Start" will attempt to create the recipe. The ingredients added to the trays will be consumed whether the process succeeds or fails. If the development was a success, the screen will read "Merchandise Created!" with an image of the product created. If a byproduct can be created from the recipe, it will be shown in orange and labeled "Side product."
Players can easily view hints for recipes they haven't developed yet by clicking on Recipe at the top-right of the screen and then going to Undiscovered Recipes. Navigating to this menu will not refresh previous selections, so players can toggle between the two screens without worrying about their progress being lost. However, progress will be reset if the player navigates to any other main menu or closes the game completely.
Making desserts
The Make Dessert tab is where developed recipes can be found and easily recreated to be added to the shop's showcase.
The tab separates all discovered recipes first by type and then, more specifically, into three categories. Players can navigate between products by type using the orange tabs at the bottom and then by category with the labels at the top.
Products in each category are sorted by their recipe number. Also included in each entry is an image of the product, its selling price, and the ingredients required to make it. If one or more ingredients needed to make a specific recipe is not in stock, the recipe's entry will grayed out and read "Insufficient foodstuff." Otherwise, clicking "Create" will trigger a short fade-up animation and the finished product will be added to the showcase. If the recipe also produces a byproduct during creation, a short fade-up animation showing the byproduct with the words "Extra!" will appear to the right and the byproduct will be added to the player's ingredients stock.
Recipes can be created as long as there is space in the shop's showcase. The Display label visible at the top of any screen shows how many products are on display in red and the total number of products that can be displayed.

Farm
The farm consists of five areas or facilities: the Ranch, Field, Orchard, Gristmill, and Shop. To collect ingredients from the farm, simply tap on the icon in each area.
There are different respawn rates for each facility, but they generally take around 40–60 seconds to reappear on a beginner farm. If the little blue bird is present, activating the Bumper Harvest will respawn icons at a much faster rate (around 8 seconds per icon). Every 4 hours, players can use the little yellow bird to immediately collect 20 unique ingredients at random from farming facilities in quantities of 3 (a total of 60 ingredients).
Leveling up facilities results in slightly faster respawn times, although it will not affect Bumper Harvests. A fully upgraded farm with all facilities at level 3 will take 20–35 seconds to respawn one icon, and 35–50 seconds to respawn all three.
Facility | Respawn* | Bumper Harvest |
---|---|---|
Ranch | 35 - 45s | 8s |
Field | 35 - 40s | 8s |
Orchard | 50 - 60s | 8s |
Gristmill | 35 - 50s | 8s |
Shop | 45 - 60s | 8s |
Street
Every time the Street is visited from a different menu, the People's Voices banner at the top gets updated, informing players of what the townspeople are currently thinking. If there is a notice reading "Memo Updated," this hints which products are trending and updates the Memo notebook in the Shop menu. This is also where players can unlock new special orders to complete for extra coin rewards, although the appearance of special orders is less frequent than memos.
Players who have filled out stamp cards can redeem them for rare foodstuffs through Stamp Redeeming. Buying rare ingredients from this menu is the only way to spend stamp cards.
The Street is also home to three different shops containing items that help players advance in the game. Clicking on "Enter" brings up each shop's listings. Occasionally, when players enter the Street from a different menu, the shops may have a sale sign outside and offer items at a discounted price.
