Adif - Train tracking & services

The Adif mobile application allows users to view the real-time status of passenger trains, including current schedules and routes for arrivals or departures, as well as services available at passenger stations managed by the Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif).

This mobile platform provides timely and live information concerning:

o The current status of passenger trains, including real-time delays and their planned and parking routes.

o Arrival and departure times for all passenger stations.

o Real-time monitoring of all Renfe passenger trains, covering Cercanías, AVE, Regional, Intercity, Altaria, Alvia, Diurnal, Euromed, Avant, Media Distancia, Train Hotel, and more.

The app also contains general details about services and commercial, cultural, and entertainment options offered at passenger stations, specifically:

o Overall information on addresses, GPS locations, operational hours, service details, city maps, parking availability, etc.

o Customer service features such as ticket vending machines, lounge areas, interactive information kiosks, and other customer assistance resources.

o Connections with various modes of transport including airports, metro systems, local bus services, trams, light rail, and taxis.

o Comprehensive details on shopping areas, including dining options, cafes, pharmacies, exhibition spaces, gift shops, leisure activities, and cinemas, including Vialia shopping centers and station boutiques.

The app enables users to locate services, retail establishments, access points, and other transport options, providing directions between any points of interest within the station.

A new feature in this version facilitates easy reporting of issues at stations, such as malfunctions or incidents affecting facilities like water supply, lighting, elevators, air conditioning, stairs, ramps, cleanliness, furniture, the commercial area, and informational systems. This initiative aims to involve customers in improving station conditions.

This functionality is currently available for all stations under Adif's management, although it does not include commuter or narrow-gauge stations at this time. Efforts are being made to expand the capability for additional stations.

The Adif mobile app offers a channel for automatic and free notifications related to specific trains or journeys of interest.

For those who commute regularly between two stations (typically Renfe Cercanías users), notifications will be sent directly to your mobile device regarding train schedules during your selected times.

If you need to know a train's arrival at a station—whether to meet someone or enjoy a coffee while waiting—Adif on your mobile will send alerts about your train's expected arrival time and platform information to your chosen station.

Users can personalize their experience through the app by saving favorite trains, routes, or stations to access specific information quickly, including general details, commercial offerings, and arrival/departure updates.

Check Real-Time Train Information:

After opening the app, you can view the real-time status of passenger trains on the relevant interface, including current schedules, arrival/departure routes, real-time delays, and planned/stopping routes. It also enables real-time monitoring of all Renfe passenger trains, covering various types such as Cercanías, AVE, Regional, etc.

Query Station Information:

You can obtain arrival and departure times for all passenger stations. Additionally, access general station information such as addresses, GPS locations, operating hours, contact numbers, city maps, parking details, etc. You can also view customer service facilities in stations, such as ticket vending machines, lounges, interactive information kiosks, and connections to other transportation modes (e.g., airports, metro, buses, taxis).

Explore Commercial Area Details:

View detailed information about commercial areas in stations, including shopping and leisure venues such as restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, gift shops, and cinemas.

Location and Navigation:

The app allows you to locate service facilities, commercial venues, entrances/exits, and other transportation options within the station, and provides routes between any points of interest in the station.

Personalization Settings:

Users can personalize the app by saving favorite trains, routes, or stations to quickly access frequently used information, including general station details, commercial area updates, and train arrival/departure statuses.

Receive Notifications:

Set up automatic free notifications to follow specific trains or trips. Commuters who regularly travel between two stations can schedule notifications for relevant train information during selected times. If you need to know a train’s arrival time at a station (e.g., for picking up someone or grabbing coffee while waiting), the app will send alerts about the expected arrival time and platform information.

Report Issues:

In the new version, users can easily report station facility problems (e.g., malfunctions or damages to water supply, lighting, elevators, air conditioning, etc.) through the app to help improve station conditions. This feature currently applies only to stations managed by Adif and does not include commuter or narrow-gauge stations.
