Volume Styles - FAQ
Q The app stops working after a while
This is related to the device you are using and isn't an issue with the app. Make sure battery optimisations for the app are disabled.
Please go to this website and run through the steps to keep apps alive for your device: https://dontkillmyapp.com
Q I cant enable the Accessibility Service
If a toast message is appearing saying that an app is blocking the dialog, make sure you disable the Draw Overlay permissions for all apps before enabling the Accessibility Service.
If you cant see the app in the list, tap 'More downloaded services' or similar.
Otherwise, try restarting your device.
Q I have purchased Premium, but the Premium features are still locked
For some reason Google hasn't synced your purchase yet.
It usually fixes itself after you update your apps in the Play Store by: Tapping the account button at the top right, then tapping 'Manage apps and device', then either updating your apps or tapping 'All apps up to date' and then tapping 'Check for updates'.
Q When I take a screenshot, the volume panel is showing
Turn on the 'Hide while taking screenshot' option in the Advanced settings of the app.
Q I can't afford Premium / it is too expensive for me
Try Google Opinion Rewards. It allows you to earn Play Store credit which you can spend on apps.
Q I've granted the permissions but I can't enable the app (or nothing happens when it is enabled)
Firstly, disable the Accessibility Service. Then restart your device. You should be able to grant the permissions now.
To stop this happening again, make sure battery optimizations are disabled for the app: https://dontkillmyapp.com
Q The default volume panel is showing in Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or a Camera app
Volume Styles will not show in some apps like Instagram if it detects the app is using the camera or if the app has custom volume controls.
Q Both volume panels are showing at the same time while using bluetooth
This issue is being investigated and will be fixed as soon as a solution is found.
Q The volume does not increase past a certain level
This issue is caused by the "Safe Volume Warning". It is being investigated and will be fixed as soon as a solution is found.
Q Do Not Disturb turns on when I set the sound mode to silent
Android turns on DND automatically when silent mode is enabled. There is nothing the app can do to change this.
Q Auto brightness is turned off when I change the brightness
Unfortunately Android does not let apps change the auto brightness level all of the time. You can try enabling the "Allow changing auto brightness" option in the Advanced options, but this may not work due to Android limitations.
Q How do I hide the notification in the notification panel for the app
Long press the notification to hide it
