If you are using multiple LED strings to decorate one area, they can all be grouped and mapped together to act as one single display.

Lights can dance to any music with the Twinkly Music dongle. Just plug it into any USB-A outlet, connect it to the Twinkly App and select your preferred color scheme and pattern. Then close the app; the USB dongle runs independently.

Where do I find the Controls panel?

The Controls panel is the first screen that appears when you open the app and is located at the bottom left-hand corner of the app menu.

What can I do with my lights from the Controls panel?

The Controls panel makes it easy to manage your Twinkly lights.

First, to select the Twinkly device you want to adjust or add effects to, just tap on its name in the Devices section of the app menu.

You’ll always find the name of the device you’re working with at the top center of the screen. A green dot next to the device’s name means the device is online.

how do i set a color or an effect using the controls panel?

1.Open the Twinkly App

The app opens up automatically onto the Controls panel (bottom left-hand icon on the App menu).

Make sure you’re modifying the right device by checking the name of your lights at the top center of the screen (green dot = active; grey dot = inactive, meaning your lights aren’t connected to your phone’s network or are simply turned off).

If you want to select a different device, just tap on the Devices icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and select the lights you want to modify.

2.Tap the Color or Effect tabs

To apply a solid color to your lights or change colors, pick any of the latest ones you’ve applied, or tap the “+” button to choose between millions of new colors. Exit the Controls panel or the app to apply your selected color.

In addition you can create your own perfect color using the Controls color palette, copy its HEX code and and paste it when making your Drawing effect. (iOS only)

If you want to change effects, tap on the Effect tab and apply one of the latest effects you applied.

3. Choose or create new effects

To choose new effects, tap on the Gallery icon on the app menu, where you can select, preview, and apply any preset, downloaded, or customized effects.

Or, get creative and design your own effects: tap on the magic wand icon on the app menu to open the FX Wizard.

What types of LED installations can I use this 3D mapping procedure for?

This mapping guide is suitable for various types of linear LED installations, such as Festoon, Permanent, Bulb-like (C9 and S14), and simple String lights. It’s designed specifically to optimize the layout of LEDs in a linear setup and help ensure accurate mapping.

The 3D Shape strategy helps users capture the most accurate spatial layout for linear LED installations, ensuring all lights appear in the correct order and location within the mapped area. This method is especially helpful when dealing with installations in unique or stretched-out areas, making the mapping process more intuitive and reliable.

How to apply the Carousel Mode?

To apply Carousel Effects mode to your Twinkly lights:

· go to the Controls panel

· tap on the Menu icon (two horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner of the screen)

· tap on Settings

· turn on Carousel Effects.

Your lights will then start to cycle through 5 factory/pre-loaded effects that are saved on the controller. You can also play the pre-loaded effects by connecting your lights to a power socket and pressing the button on the controller.
