This application adds a button or tile to the quick settings panel for capturing screenshots. Upon installation, you need to incorporate the button/tile into your quick settings and grant it permission to capture the screen and store images in internal storage.
Features:
✓ Capture screenshots directly from quick settings
✓ Does not require root access
✓ Notification appears after a screenshot is taken (can be turned off)
✓ Options to share, edit, or delete a screenshot immediately from the notification
✓ Built-in image editor for modifying screenshots
✓ Floating button/overlay similar to a chat bubble (Android 9 and above)
✓ Functions as an assistive app for taking screenshots (long-press the Home button)
✓ Option to capture a specific section of the screen (long-press the tile)
✓ Delay feature for taking screenshots
✓ Save files in any directory on any storage device, such as an SD card
✓ Capability to save in multiple file formats: png, jpg, or webp
✓ Automatic screenshot function with applications like Tasker or MacroDroid
✓ Free, open-source, and ad-free
Note:
🎦 When a screenshot is captured, the "Google Cast" icon will show up in the status bar and will appear in the screenshot itself. If you wish to hide the icon, instructions are available in the app documentation.
Permissions:❏ android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Required for saving screenshot files to internal storage. ❏ android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE - Since Android 9/Pie, this permission is necessary to enable screenshot functionality; the app operates without being displayed, while still showing a notification during activity.
Automatic screenshots: For automating screenshots using another app, like MacroDroid or Tasker, detailed guidance is provided in the app’s documentation.
Hiding the app icon: In the settings, you can conceal the app icon from your launcher but can still access it through a long press on the quick settings tile. Note that Android 10 has removed the option to hide an app completely.

The other people reviewing with 1 star are completely wrong. My Poco F3's volume buttons broke, and I was able to use an app for volume control, but I wasn't able to find out how to get a screenshot working, even with root. I nearly uninstalled this app without even trying it because of the reviews, but then when I tried it.. it was super easy to setup, with the native method takes a screenshot in the same way the system does.. it's just perfect! Now I'm not even thinking of replacing my buttons.

I really don't know why this app has such a low score. After trying many others, full of ads and buy me, this simple old school app does a perfect job, a one click screenshot, easy and no unnecessary frills, who could want more, thanks guy's . maybe one day phone manufacturer's will learn we don't want to stand on our head using multiple finger's to achieve the same.

Dangerous app, "legacy method" enters a loop in lockscreen that makes the device unusable and a restart/shutdown is needed to fix it. "Native method" can't even change screenshot format. Extra star for being open source with clean permissions.

Yes, I like it. Very little stuffing around when setting up the app and, SWEET JESUS, DELILAH, no ADS! Only small gripe I have is the short delay between tapping the floating icon and the screenshot actually capturing - even when set to "instant" for the most immediate action. Aside from this, it is a very functional, straightforward tool.

My phone lost the lock button so I had to rely on a screen capture app. Luckily I found this powerful minimal lightweight screenshot capture app. Works as intended with no root needed. I'm very glad to see another successful open source project. It reminds me of the GOAT the Musicolet music player project. I'm a big fan of non proprietary software.

After trying several apps, I finally came across this one. It does exactly as advertised! I have a cheaper phone where the native screenshot is not enabled, this does the trick just fine. On top of that it is not intrusive, always stays on the screen no matter what, and more importantly doesn't have any annoying ads or pop ups. It acts just like a tool!

Install app. Slide notifications shade down. Locate and drag Screenshot "tile" to the top where your "active" tiles are. Then give "accessibility permission" back in the app's configuration settings. Done. Or, you can get into a little more complicated customization. I used "Power Shade" and "One Shade" just to enable a screenshot tile in the notifications, and both of them would chronically quit and revert to the stock shade.

Needed an app to take screenshots without the onscreen flash (which triggers headaches for me) and this app does the trick! Accessibility win! Also the Play Store says it never saves any user data, which makes it safer from a privacy standpoint than 99.9% of apps out there. Screenshots automatically save to the screenshot folder on my phone. 5 stars from me!
