PhotoWear Classic is compatible with Android Wear OS watches and select Samsung watches, including the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch5, the Google Pixel, and Fossil Gen 6.

PhotoWear Classic NO LONGER supports Samsung/Tizen-based smartwatches (including the Gear S3, Sport, and legacy Galaxy series).

PhotoWear Classic NO LONGER supports the older generation of smartwatches running the legacy Android Wear OS 1.X, including the original Asus ZenWatch, LGE G Watch, Samsung Gear Live, Sony SmartWatch 3, and the Moto 360.

To change between the Album (grid view) to a single photo

Double Tap the Watch Face

First, try to change the image by double tapping the photo in the grid on the watch face.

If this does not work, or you see a lock icon then please

Verify Image Lock is set to Off

On the PhotoWear mobile app, go to the "settings" tab.  

Scroll down to find "Auto advance/image lock" and tap "off."  

How to use PhotoWear Classic on a Pixel Smartwatch Print

Squeaky Dog Studios has found that simply following the steps below allows PhotoWear to communicate with the Pixel Watch by Google.

Here's what to do on your smartphone:

1. Install the Pixel Watch app and connect your Pixel Watch

2. Install or update the PhotoWear Classic mobile companion app to the latest version from the Google Play Store

3. Open the PhotoWear Classic mobile companion app

Then, on your smartwatch:

1. Press the hardware button and then find and launch the Google Play Store

2. Search for PhotoWear Classic and install it

3. Dismiss the Play Store app

Lastly, back on your smartphone:

1. Open the Pixel Watch app again

2. Tap on Watch Faces

3. Tap on Add watch face

4. Scroll until you find the PhotoWear Classic watch face app in the Gallery of watch face apps

5. Tap the PhotoWear Classic watch face app and then app the Add button to add it to your carousel of recent watch faces

6. Navigate back to the carousel, swipe over to PhotoWear Classic, then tap Use on watch
