FAQ
VoWiFi or Voice over Wi-Fi is a technology for making calls over the Internet. This technology uses a Wi-Fi router as a base station for calls and improves voice quality.
Conditions for using the VoWiFi service:
- The device must support VoWiFi technology and be allowed by the device software manufacturer;
- The subscriber must be within the coverage area of the Wi-Fi network;
- The subscriber's number must be active.
- When you go outside the Wi-Fi zone, you will automatically be able to make and receive calls on the 2G, 3G or LTE mobile network.
Calls made via VoWiFi are charged from the minutes of your tariff plan or are paid according to the terms of the tariff, including calls to landline numbers, as well as calls made from the Domestic territory. Domestic territory is the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan with which you have concluded a contract for the provision of communication services.
Activation procedure: the service is always active, but you must enable the VoWiFi function in the device settings for each phone separately.
How to check if the technology is working?
If you see the inscription “UzMobile – Wi-Fi” in the status bar on your iOS device when connected to a Wi-Fi network or a handset icon with a Wi-Fi symbol on your Android device, then you are using VoWiFi.
