Marooned - Survive harsh environments

In the game, players take on the role of Ed as he navigates through various environments around the world, including the jungles of Thailand, the islands of the Philippines, and the plains of Africa. Starting with no tools, clothing, food, or water— not even a knife— Ed demonstrates resilience and resourcefulness in overcoming the elements and thriving under challenging conditions.

-> Expansive terrains

The game features vast landscapes in each scene. You have the freedom to set up a campsite and ignite a fire wherever you choose. Traps can be placed strategically for catching animals, and when it rains, containers can be utilized to collect water. During the dark of night, torches provide light to aid your navigation.

-> Discover hidden objectives

Each scene contains two secret missions waiting to be uncovered. These challenges may only manifest under specific circumstances, so exploration is key. Successfully completing both the main tasks and these hidden objectives rewards you with special items.

-> Mastering the art of hunting

The game offers various throwing implements, such as stones, bamboo spears, and bows and arrows. As you traverse the landscape, you may encounter prey—like rabbits on the grasslands or fish in ponds. Different tools will be required to successfully catch them.

-> Strategy when confronting large predators

After surviving for several days, you may come across formidable predators, including wolves in the Thai jungle, hyenas on the African savannah, and crocodiles in marshy areas. If you are equipped with throwing weapons, you can defend yourself; otherwise, fleeing quickly is advisable.

-> The allure of cooking

You have the ability to prepare meals in every scene. Collecting a variety of food sources is essential, as prolonged survival necessitates an array of dishes to enhance your health.

Player Summited Tips

1. General Tips

Before starting your first game, play the tutorial and practice hunting frogs. Keep practicing until you have master the art of rock throwing. You will get sick if you don’t eat meat regularly and other types of meat (except eggs) will take time to get. 

To hunt frogs: Find a frog in a relatively open area. Select the rock. Hold the target button as you walk. Wait patiently for the frog to move into the open. Follow it around so you are near by when it stops moving. Quickly align the point where the white line and dotted-line meet exactly on top of the frog. Release target button to fire. Retrieve dead frog and rock (if not broken). 

To hunt small birds: You can only use bow and arrow. Find a bird in a short tree where the base of the tree is clearly visible. Select the arrow. Align the dotted line with the bottom of the tree. Align the solid white line to cross the place where the bird used to be. Patiently wait for the bird to return. Adjust the white line so it is exactly over the bird. Release the target button to fire. Go find and pick up your arrow immediately even if you miss.

In the main menu, select ‘Capture‘ and then switch to ‘Relation’ to see which weapons are used for hunting which animal. 

2. Jungle Tips

You can only hunt small birds with bow and arrow. 

3. Island Tips

Your first goal should be finding a sharp stone and making an axe (not knife). Use axe to get bamboo and use bamboo to make a tool to get the big leaves to make your shelter. 

To get water: eat coconuts, make a one-time filter with bamboo and hay or build a reusable water filter.  

To use water filter, you must be standing by both a water filter and a fire. Open the inventory and select a bamboo container with either seawater or muddy water, then press ‘filter’.
