Isekai: Slow Life - 8 Beginner Tips

Strategically Match Your Artifacts With Your Fellows

Isekai:Slow Life

As you progress in the game, you'll obtain Artifacts; when you give these to your Fellows, they provide extra Aptitude, enhancing both your Fellows' power and the income they generate. The most important thing to know is that for these bonuses to work, you need to Reforge them, and the skills of the Artifact must match the type of Fellow you give it to.

Your Fellows' types are as follows:

- Diligent

Brave

Informed

Inspiring

Unfettered

If your Artifact's types don't match with your Fellow, it won't provide any bonus. Therefore, you should ensure that the Artifact's skill matches with your Fellow by Reforging it.

With the Reforge option, you reroll the Artifact skill, obtaining a value between 5 and 25. If you spend Enchanting Material, it will give you a bonus value between 15 and 25 without the need for Reforging.

Isekai:Slow Life

Let's say your Artifact has three different skills: Diligent, Brave, and Informed. Suppose the Informed and Brave skills have a value of 20; if the Fellow you equip the Artifact on is also of the Informed type, and when you Reforge the Diligent skill, you get Brave with a value of 25, then it's more logical to match it with a Fellow of the Brave type instead of rerolling the Brave skill.

Additionally, at some point, you'll accumulate many Artifacts, and if you're not planning to acquire a new Fellow soon, it's a good idea to Recycle your Artifacts. When you Recycle, you can select those with low rarity and levels that won't be useful to you.

If you have an Artifact for which you've spent resources to level up, don't worry. After Recycling, in addition to the Recycle reward you receive, you'll also get back the materials you used to level it up.

Effectively Utilize The Benefits Of Your Family Members

Isekai:Slow Life

Unlike Fellows, characters in your Family provide extra bonuses to you, although you can't assign them to any buildings. You'll want to train your Family members, and each Family member has a Blessing section, where they provide bonuses to different Fellows.

One thing to be careful about here is to not blindly strengthen the Blessing Skills of your Family members since each Family member has a Blessed Fellows section that shows the Fellows they benefit the most. By checking this, it's more logical to strengthen the blessing skill of the Family member that benefits your most owned Fellow the most, so you can get maximum efficiency from them.

Similarly, when giving a gift to a Family member, you should also be careful about the Blessed Fellows section; by giving a gift to a Family member who benefits your Fellows the most, you can increase their Blessing Power and benefit from it.

Isekai:Slow Life

Additionally, by improving your Family members' skills, you can further increase the income provided by your buildings, and there are two ways to improve their skills: Fathom and Advanced. As their skills improve and the bonuses they provide to buildings increase, your chances of improving them with Fathom, i.e., by paying gold, will decrease.

As the chances decrease, the amount of gold you need to pay will increase, so when the Success Rate is quite low it wouldn't be very wise to waste your gold, and using Luck Stones would be more sensible. With Luck Stones, you not only receive at least a 20% Success Rate bonus but also the required amount of Luck Stones won't increase.

Hosting And Attending Banquets Is Beneficial

Isekai:Slow Life

Banquets are held once you have collected enough banquet materials. Additionally, you can host banquets after special events or if you have an Invitation Card, as they provide both Banquet Coins and Popularity.

If you're hosting a banquet, make sure it's at full capacity; to achieve this, you'll need to invite other players. Remember that there's a time limit for banquets to end, and hosting a banquet at full capacity will earn you more popularity and Banquet Coins.

Being social in the game, making friends, or joining a Guild will also be beneficial for banquets, among other advantages.

When attending other players' banquets, you should bring a gift with you, and you should remember that you can choose coins as the gift, as it's not a good idea to choose a limited resource as a gift if you plan to use it. Additionally, it's a good idea to join banquets that are nearing full capacity; this way, if all seats are filled, you'll have a chance to receive the Full Capacity Gift reward.

Use Your Stamina To The Fullest For Roaming

Isekai:Slow Life

By roaming, you can meet new characters and bond with them; when you have enough bond with a character, they will join you. However, there may not always be a character in every region with whom you can bond, and you can trigger an event with the fellows or family members you already have.

Additionally, roaming is random, so, unfortunately, you don't have a selection factor here; the most important thing to know here is that if your Stamina is full, spend it all on roaming. By effectively using this part of the game, you'll increase your chances of acquiring new fellows since you gain stamina every half hour.

Using Banquet Coins to purchase Stamina Potions is not a good idea. Since stamina already replenishes every half hour, you should use Banquet Coins to acquire more difficult-to-obtain resources.

Strengthen Yourself And Don't Hesitate To Join Challenges

Isekai:Slow Life

In the Challenge section, you'll want to have strong Fellows to defeat dungeon guards. If there's a dungeon guard you need to defeat but your power isn't enough, you should strengthen your fellows, give them more effective artifacts, and make them even more effective by using certain items.

When doing Challenges, there's no need to defeat your opponents one by one. Instead of rankings, what you need to focus on is their Power. For example, a player on a lower floor may have a higher power than one on a higher floor.

Don't be afraid of losing when doing Challenges, because even if you lose you'll stay on the same floor. Furthermore, remember that dungeons have daily rewards; these are mail-based, and if you don't check your mail for a certain period, you might lose your rewards.

Build Your Negotiation Team Harmoniously

Isekai:Slow Life

The Negotiation section in Trading Post is another area where you'll compete with other players, but things work a bit differently here compared to Challenges.

Firstly, you send teams of six to negotiate, and regardless of whether your fellows in the team are successful or not, they will spend energy. After a 60-minute cooldown, your fellows' negotiation energy will be restored.

The most important thing here is to assemble your teams well, and this will require spending some time in the game; having a Super Rare (SR) or higher rarity fellow in the initial six-person teams you assemble will be advantageous. This is because other fellows of the same type as that team member will receive an extra power bonus.

Your long-term goal is to create negotiation teams consisting of fellows of the same type, and SR rarity or higher; even if you assemble a team where all members are SR, you'll still receive at least a thirty percent power bonus. Since obtaining these will be a long-term endeavor, when you acquire many fellows in the future, you should divide them into teams according to their types.

Since gold is the most common resource in the game, be sure to spend gold for Motivation during the preparation phase of negotiation. This will provide you with up to a forty percent bonus, depending on your usage.

Send The Appropriate Fellows To Events In Stages

Isekai:Slow Life

As you progress through the stages in the game, you'll encounter some events; some of these events require you to assign your fellows, but whenever you do this, never choose fellows randomly. The type required for the event is specified in the green text, and when you select the appropriate person, the black star slot in the Completion Status will turn yellow, this way you'll be able to complete events more effectively.

Strategically Utilize Your Acquaint Stones

Isekai:Slow Life

You'll want to recruit fellows with higher rarity levels, making Acquaint Stones one of your desired resources. However, acquiring them isn't easy, so you need to be strategic when spending them.

Firstly, it's more beneficial to purchase stronger and more effective fellows rather than family members. When doing so, avoid buying fellows randomly or based solely on their appearance, and instead just focus on purchasing fellows that will strengthen your other fellows, especially for the Negotiation section.

For example, if you already have two fellows of the Brave type and five powerful fellows in total from the Informed type, it would be more sensible to purchase another powerful fellow from the Informed type.

When buying family members, pay attention to the Blessed Fellows section to avoid investing in a family member that buffs fellows you don't have.

Isekai:Slow Life

When trying your luck at the Fountain of Wishes, remember to make 10 wishes at once, spending nine Fairy Bottles. In this way, you save on Fairy Bottles while searching for Acquaint Stones.

The game looks good and I really enjoy the character designs. However, the more I play it, the more I realize that it's designed to keep me hooked for hours on end. You have to navigate through multiple menus and spend time collecting tiny rewards that don't do much individually. It feels like they are trying to give you little doses of happiness with each reward. The disparity between free-to-play players and those who pay is also quite stark. I would consider buying the battle pass, but it's disheartening to see how far ahead players who spend a lot of money are. Progression in this game seems to be based more on how long you play rather than grinding for resources.

I've been playing this idle tap game for a few weeks now, and it's quite enjoyable. The art is amazing, and the mini games are really fun. However, it's very easy to accidentally use the special currency that you need to save up in order to get the better characters. I was trying to exit a screen, but because the buttons are placed so closely together and there's no extra confirmation prompt, I ended up losing weeks of hard work grinding for the Valiant Insignia. I appreciate being able to play a game without having to spend money on it, but it's just frustrating how all your progress can be undone with a simple misclick.

The game has been enjoyable without interruptions from advertisements. I found myself spending a dollar or two on in-game items impulsively, as the experience is quite engaging. Even though it resembles many other games in its category, it does have unique features that make it interesting to play. I've noticed that progressing levels becomes more challenging after reaching level 13, but I believe it's still possible to advance without making any purchases. However, my main dislike is that the primary romantic interest in the game is depicted as a slave. Despite the game's attempt to appeal to certain audiences, it feels exploitative and unsettling. ☹
