Fine Ski Jumping is a visually minimalist and physics-driven ski jumping game.
Here are brief instructions for jumping:
1.TAP and RELEASE the circle to initiate your descent.
2.TAP and HOLD the circle to take off and soar through the air.
3.Gradually move the wheel UP and RELEASE just BEFORE you land - this technique ensures a telemark landing.
The game offers several modes:
- Custom Tournaments, World Cup, Rw Air, 4H (with a KO system), Flying World Championship, Planica7, Willingen6, T-N5
- You can compete individually or as part of a team - guide your team to triumph.
- Online competition allows you to set up your own contests, selecting hills, wind conditions, number of rounds, and duration, providing a chance to impress friends!
HILL CREATOR - Design your own ski jumping hill with our creator tool, and enjoy them in both offline and online modes (your friends will be impressed!).
Summer mode - Upon launching the game, you enter the summer season, where you can jump on matting, grass, or in forest environments (Sopot!).

The game features over 50 realistic ski jumps including:
1.Oslo, the renowned Holmenkollbakken (HS 134 m)
2.Planica, Letalnica (HS 240m)
3.Innsbruck, Bergisel (HS 130)
4.Rasnov, Trambuilna V.C. (HS97)
5.Vikersund (HS 240m)
6.Zakopane (HS140m)
7.Bad Mitterndorf (HS235m)
8.Oberstdorf (HS137m)
9.Wisla - Malinka (HS134m)
10.Garmisch-Partenkirchen (142m)
11.Bischofshofen (142m)
And many more!
Historical jumps such as Ironwood and Harrachov also feature in the game.
Also, be on the lookout for hidden “Easter Eggs” within the game! :)
The essence of Fine Ski Jumping lies in its physics-based mechanics.
Jumping instructions:
1.Touch and release the orange circle to commence your descent.
2.Just before finishing your run, TOUCH and HOLD the orange circle.
The timing of your jump is crucial – leap just prior to the end of the run for the most effective take-off.
3.Once airborne, you control the tilt of the ski jumper. Keep the control wheel centered to catch optimal wind and achieve top results.
4.Release the circle approximately 2m above the ground.
- Releasing from the center position results in a squat landing which may add extra distance but can lower style points.
- Releasing from the top position leads to a telemark landing. This requires releasing the circle slightly earlier while still in the air for proper execution.
- A downward tilt upon release can result in an unbalanced landing and a fall!
If the wheel function does not operate correctly on your device, switch to “Pro” mode in the main menu to bypass the wheel. The jumping system remains similar, except tapping anywhere on the screen becomes possible.
From Physics to Flight: Perfecting the Art of Digital Ski Jumping
Fine Ski Jumping transforms the intricate physics of ski jumping into a captivating and surprisingly immersive mobile experience. What initially seems minimalist becomes deeply engrossing once you feel the weight, wind, and timing converge in a perfect jump. The control scheme—tap to descend, hold to launch, and precisely tilt the wheel mid-air—is intuitive yet demanding. Nailing that telemark landing after a 240m flight off Planica’s Letalnica delivers an unmatched rush, especially knowing every variable (body angle, wind resistance) was shaped by your decisions.
Beyond the thrill, the game shines in customization: designing hills with unique inclines and curves, then sharing them with friends for online tournaments, adds endless replayability. Seeing realistic gear like Holmenkollen helmets while rotating the camera mid-flight sells the authenticity, while "Pro" mode’s tap-to-balance offers a satisfying curve for dedicated players. This isn’t just a sports sim—it’s a precision sandbox where physics mastery feels like poetry in motion.
Q&A for New Jumpers:
Q: How steep is the learning curve? Is it casual-friendly?
A: The basicsare easy to grasp (tap/hold timing), but mastering telemark landings, wind optimization, and hill-specific nuances takes practice. Casual players can enjoy quick jumps, but competitive depth rewards persistence.
Q: Does the "wheel" control feel awkward?
A: It’s brilliant once you adapt. Centering your skier mid-flight to catch optimal airflow feels tactile. If it doesn’t suit your device, "Pro" mode simplifies controls to taps while retaining physics depth.
Q: What makes the hill creator stand out?
A: Beyond designing slopes, you can test jumps immediately offline or challenge friends online with your creations. Seeing others struggle with yourhill’s curve is deeply satisfying.
Q: Is online multiplayer rewarding or gimmicky?
A: Highly rewarding! Custom tournaments with adjustable wind, hill choices, and team play add strategic layers. Competing globally in events like the FSJ World Cup feels legitimately tense.
Q: Does the minimalist art style detract from realism?
A: Quite the opposite—clean visuals keep focus on physics and controls. Details like skier animations during landings, accurate hill models (Holmenkollen’s tower!), and gear customization create immersion without clutter.
