- Location is only shared within your private family group after permission is granted.

- Download and set up: Install the app and grant necessary permissions, including location access, for optimal functionality.

- Create your private circle: Form or join a secure family group. Membership is restricted to those you invite and who agree to participate.

- Send out invitations: Effortlessly invite family members using their phone number, a unique link, or a QR code.

- Consent is vital: For location sharing to activate, every invited family member must accept the invitation and enable all required permissions, including location services, on their device.

- Stay informed: We ensure all family members receive clear notifications detailing the app's purpose, the identity of the inviter, and how their location data will be used within the group.

- Your control, always: Familo operates solely based on the active agreement of each family member to share their location. If consent is denied, location sharing for that individual will not occur.

FAQ

Can I join a group, in which I have been a member ealier?

If you want to join a group, you'll have to be invited by a member and accept this invitation. This applies even if you were previously in the group.

How can I delete a member?

To delete a member, please open the group -> tap on its name -> tap on X icon next to the member that you wish to delete.

How many members can a group consist of?

A group on FAMILO may have up to 20 members.

What settings are available for groups?

You can name every group and rename it later. You can set your location mode (visible, Places only, invisible) for each group by opening the group -> its name -> My location mode

Can I merge two groups?

No, it isn't possible to merge groups, but you can invite the members of one group to join the other. Once they accept the invitations, you'll have a big group with all the members.

How do I leave a group?

Android: Go to the group itself, tap on its name from the top, scroll to the very bottom and choose the "Leave group" option.

iOS: Open the group from the main menu, tap on its name on the top, then tap on the cog icon and choose the "Leave group" option.

How do I join a group?

To join a group, choose a "Join group" option on the main screen and enter the 6-digit code that you received from a family member. Once you enter it, tap on Join group and you're good to go:)
