Wykop App — Community-Powered Polish Social Feed

What is the Wykop app?

Wykop is the official mobile app for Wykop.pl, a Polish social news and discussion platform where users share links, memes, articles, videos, and hot takes. Think of it as a live community filter for the Polish internet: real people surface what is interesting, then the community votes, comments, and keeps the conversation moving.

The Wykop app puts the whole experience in your pocket:

Community-curated feed — discover trending links, fresh finds, and breaking discussions.

Microblog and znaleziska — read short posts and shared discoveries in one stream.

Vote and comment — wykop or zakop finds, plus or minus comments, and join the thread.

Push notifications — get alerted to replies, mentions, and active discussions.

Tags, categories, and people — follow#technologia,#polska, your favorite tags, or specific users.

Sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple — quick access to posting, voting, and private messages.

Getting started and pro tips:

Create an account, then make the feed yours.

Register once, unlock everything. You need a login, password, email, and phone number. Wykop sends an SMS code and an activation email, so check both before posting.

Train your home feed. Follow tags that matter:#informacje,#swiat,#motoryzacja,#podroze,#heheszki,#sport.

Use categories. Group tags, phrases, and users into custom categories so news, humor, and niche hobbies do not mix badly.

Vote like a local. For finds, use wykop to promote and zakop to bury spam. For comments and posts, use plus and minus.

Save with favorites. Tap the star on any find, comment, or entry to return later.

Silence noise with the blacklist. Block users, tags, or domains that drain the feed.

Message registered users only. Private messages work after login; use the envelope icon from the top bar or a user profile.

Business profile? Tick the “represents a company” option during registration to run a brand presence.

Pro move: open the Wykop app in short bursts during the day. The feed is community-ranked, so the best stuff rises fast — you do not need to scroll forever.

You are probably browsing logged out. Log in to wykop, comment, vote, add finds, message other users, and manage favorites.

A “find” — a link, article, video, or image shared by a user. The community votes it up with wykop or down with zakop.

5、How do I follow topics?

Tap a hashtag, open the discussion list, and hit Obserwuj. You can also follow categories and individual users.

6、Can I block content?

Yes. Add users, tags, or domains to your blacklist. They will stop showing in your feed.

7、Is my data safe?

Wykop states data is encrypted in transit and not shared with third parties on Google Play. You can request deletion of your data. Always review the privacy policy in the app store listing.

8、The app feels new — is it rebuilt?

The current App Store listing shows the newer Wykop app starting at version 5.1.1, while Android updates continue with performance and login fixes. If you used an older build, set up login again and re-follow your tags.

Fresh community pulse on the Wykop app

The Wykop app stays relevant because the feed is not edited by one newsroom — it is ranked by Polish internet users in real time.

A good example from 2026: Wykop threads helped ordinary users question an overhyped “teen genius” narrative that major outlets had amplified. The lesson for new app users is simple — the Wykop app is great for catching trends early, but strong posts still get challenged in comments. Vote, read the replies, check sources, then share.

In the app right now, expect fast-moving mixes of:

• Polish politics and current affairs
• tech and AI discussions
• sports reactions and memes
• local stories, weird finds, and travel content
• comment-section investigations that fact-check viral claims

If you want news plus context, open a tag, read the top find, then scroll the comments. That comment layer is the real Wykop app experience.
