Coptic Reader is a mobile app designed to provide the liturgical texts, rites, psalms, hymns, melodies, services, and sacraments associated with the Coptic Orthodox Church. Below is a comprehensive list of the content that is available. This application does more than merely display text; it dynamically generates each document or service based on the rites relevant to the current date or a chosen day/feast. Each document is constructed in real-time, incorporating all necessary hymns, rites, and instructions, eliminating any uncertainty regarding the order of church services.
The app can produce documents in English, Arabic, and Coptic, supporting both English and Arabic as its interface languages. It offers extensive customization options, enabling users to display or hide various liturgical roles (such as Priest, Deacon, and Congregation), inaudible prayers, rubrics/comments, and language preferences.
Users can select from various graphical themes and adjust the font size of the text within the documents. Additionally, there is a presentation mode available for projecting content during church services, enhancing the experience. The application also allows for the selection of specific saints or archangels to be included in doxologies, hymns, responses, and other prayers related to the church's intercessors.
