Classic Spider Solitaire - Card game & strategy

Spider Solitaire is a classic solitaire game.

The objective of the game is to clear all cards by arranging them in descending sequences from King down

to Ace within the same suit. Cards can be moved onto another card that is one rank higher. It is also possible to move multiple cards together if they form a descending sequence in the same suit.

To draw new cards, click on the stock piles located at the lower right corner. However, this action can only be taken when all tableau piles are occupied. Spider Solitaire offers three different modes: beginner (1 suit), intermediate (2 suits), and advanced (4 suits).

Game goal

The goal of the game is to arrange all the cards in descending order from K to A, form a complete sequence, and move them to the foundation pile.

Game layout

Use two decks of cards, a total of 104 cards.

The cards are divided into 10 columns, 4 of which have 7 cards each, and the remaining 6 columns have 6 cards each.

The top card of each column is face up, and the rest of the cards are face down.

Basic gameplay

Moving cards: Only face-up cards can be moved. If a card has a point value 1 lower than the target card, it can be moved to the target card.

Forming a sequence: A group of cards in descending order and of the same suit can be moved.

Turning over new cards: When the face-down card in a column is removed, turn over the next card.

Using the deck: When there are no more cards to move, draw 10 cards from the deck and add one to each column.

Filling empty columns: Empty columns can be filled with any card or group of cards.

Winning and losing conditions

Winning: All cards are successfully moved to the foundation pile.

Failure: The deck is empty and cards cannot be moved any further.
