Founded in 2020 by Jean Lobe Lobe, Waspito is a Cameroonian startup transforming healthcare access through telemedicine. The idea was born from a personal tragedy—Jean lost his father to a heart attack in Kumba, Cameroon, due to the lack of a nearby cardiologist. This heartbreaking experience reflects a challenge faced by millions across Africa: the struggle to access timely medical care.
