Update v1.31.0 brings a fresh new look and daily rewards!

August 28, 2025

in Updates and Balance Changes

Greetings, commanders! Summertime’s almost over, so let’s get some fresh new additions to the game while we enjoy its final days! Update v1.31.0 brings a big revamp of the game’s main menu, as well as a new Daily Reward system, similar to the one we introduced for new players in Update v1.29.0. There is a bevy of other improvements in this update, as well as a change to the card back given to the top players at the end of a season.

Oh, another thing! Thank you to all players who took part in the in-game survey last week. The number of responses exceeded our expectations, and it will take some time to look through all of them, so please note that these are changes that were planned before the survey. Thanks again for raising your voice and sharing your opinion. We aim to put as much passion into the game as we’re reading in the responses. For now, let’s look at what’s coming into the game!

Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge

Main menu revamp

The home screen has been given a coat of paint with a sleeker and scalable design! The new main menu is scrollable and adaptable, making space available for shortcuts to event-specific menus, offers and other game modes. Events? Game Modes? You will have to wait a little bit more for that, but for the time being, the answer is: yes.

The main purpose of this revamp is to make the most relevant thing at the time more readily accessible to the player, as well as having information (such as timers) right there instead of having to navigate menus to get it. We are planning further tweaks to other screens, but the main menu was the first cornerstone we had to turn and improve.

Daily Streak

Last month, we introduced a 15-day daily reward track, focused on helping players (old and new) kickstart their adventure in Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge. This feature was very well received and is still available for all players, but can only be completed once. After players complete it, they will now have access to the Daily Streak, a similar reward system focused on rewarding players who lead their forces into battle on a regular basis.

This track follows a similar concept: every day you log in, you can claim the rewards in the next node. There is one key difference though, in that this time around, if you miss a day, your progress will be reset, sending you back to the start of the reward track. You will always be able to see the rewards coming in the following few days, so you will have a sense of what the future holds. Also, if you own any Premium Campaigns, you can claim your extra campaign points from your Premium Campaign screen.

New VIP card store

There’s a whole new tab in the in-game card store! The VIP card store opens its doors for the first time with this update, offering an additional selection of 10 cards every day. However, before being able to get your hands on anything in this VIP tab, you will first have to attain, well, VIP status. VIP status is attained and maintained when you reach a 7+ day Daily Streak.

Changes to the ranked season card backs

There is an important change making its way into the ranked seasons. Now, players who have topped the ranked ladder will gain access to a special card back that they will be able to use only during the following season. These card backs will now stand out as a symbol of recent achievement, something to pass from champion to champion as time marches forward. The player profile has also been updated to showcase these standings and commemorate your seasons of triumph.

As we stated last month when we announced the new ranked mode, we will be taking at in-game data and player opinions for the progressive rework of ranked mode. The current implementation is not final, and we aim to listen to your feedback while we work on the next iteration.

Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge

Well, that’s it for now! We have now started working on the next update and new ways to play the game. The next collectable faction is also in the works, but before that, we still have other updates planned, so stay tuned!

The game feels unbalanced. Some factions dominate while others struggle. In multiplayer, you find yourself matched with both veterans and newcomers, regardless of your rank. Draft mode offers a chance to explore new decks, but once the strong factions appear, it's hard not to stick with them until they get toned down. Each login, a pop-up pesters you about notifications. The cosmetics are priced outrageously too, with bundles going for $50 that include just a sleeve, title, and some packs.

The online connection has been giving me trouble. My opponent and I keep disconnecting out of nowhere, which really ruins the fun. I’ve reset my router multiple times hoping for a fix. A stable network would make such a difference. The gameplay itself is solid, so I’m giving it 4 stars, but only if the servers can support everything happening smoothly.

The card-based gameplay shines. Warhammer references hit the mark. Daily rewards and monetization, though, fell flat. Spending $20 on a premium faction campaign feels like a bad deal next to other mobile game's battle passes. The price for digital packs is outrageous too. If you dive into this game, stick to free-to-play. The daily free draft offers solid rewards, especially if you master drafting those overpowered decks. I regret spending money on this experience.

This game really nails the monetization for collectible card games. Free-to-play players can build a solid deck in about a week or two. If you spend around 20 bucks for the premium track, you can dive into the campaign and have a fully fleshed-out deck for your favorite faction in just a couple of days. It feels like a great investment of time and money. The creativity in the units and warlords stands out. It ranks as one of the best ccg experiences I've had, right up there with Magic, Hearthstone, and Marvel Snap.

No complaints here! The game offers tons of free resources just by playing. You only need to buy packs if you want extra forge points. Helpful but not a must. Overall, an amazing game with fantastic factions and wonderful players. Praise the true four gods!

I recently dove into the game and was having a great time. I got curious about other starter decks after reading various threads on Reddit. I wanted to explore different strategies. Then, I discovered they removed all those decks from the game. It felt like a big shift away from supporting new players for quick cash grabs. Such a bummer because I was really enjoying it.

The game brings a lot of excitement and keeps players engaged. Developer support would make it even better. Some factions have balance issues, but they're not worse than those in other trading card games. Sure, there are areas for improvement, like wanting some decks to be stronger and others toned down. Still, every faction seems to offer at least two solid deck options with the current card pool. Adding new factions sounds great, but a careful pacing would keep things fresh without overwhelming players.

I got my hands on the game, and I'm really enjoying it. I can't help but wonder how they will handle those multi-faction units and characters, but for now, everything feels good. I'm diving deep into Aeldari, sticking with them only. Switching things up sounds like too much work for me; I prefer to really refine one deck instead. Overall, I'm committed to keep playing. For newbies out there, don't feel down about your first deck being rough. Just take the time to understand your faction's mechanics and build your decks around that.

This game is incredible! The updates come regularly and feel so well thought out. The team behind it is top-notch, truly A++. They work hard and keep impressing everyone. A big shout out and thanks to the team. Feeling super grateful for both the game and its creators!

This game has a solid dev team that keeps things fresh with regular updates. The extra content looks appealing, but accessing it feels like a huge challenge. The prices for packs and extras hit way too hard on the wallet. When diving into a card game, the goal is to play and enjoy, not to feel trapped with just the starter decks. Spending $30 on individual battle passes for each army seems excessive. You might as well invest that money in actual Warhammer.
