This application is designed to work exclusively with Android 11 and later versions.

The Userlytics App is an advanced mobile application for user testing. It enables you to respond to prompts and capture your session (including webcam feed, device screen, and audio) while engaging with websites, apps, and prototypes; following specific instructions and answering questions.

Participation in each user experience and usability test is by invitation only. Our clientele includes Fortune 500 companies, their associated agencies, and innovative tech startups aiming to enhance the user-friendliness of their websites and mobile applications.

During the unmonitored session, you will need to follow provided guidelines and vocalize your responses. There are no "correct" or "incorrect" answers; we are not assessing you but merely observing the user experience and usability of the app, website, or prototype as you try to follow directions and respond to inquiries.

We may also invite you to take part in “offline” user experience studies, or projects that combine both “online” and “offline” customer experiences.

Your contributions will assist us in making our digital landscape more user-friendly, and you will be compensated for your time according to the incentive mentioned in the invitation you received.

Once you install the Userlytics App, you can utilize it multiple times whenever invited to partake in a user experience or usability evaluation.

At times, you may be requested to conduct user experience assessments either online or offline, for instance, in a retail setting or via a website, or even a combination of both. The compensation you receive will correspond to the duration and effort involved.

Please remember that downloading and using the Userlytics App incurs no charges.

Thank you for your contribution towards creating a more user-friendly world!

What does “Paused Test” mean?

It means that the test has been completed (for now). We will keep our testers updated if there is an opening of new slots. When you receive an invitation to take one of our tests, please make sure to respond as soon as possible.

What Operating systems and Prototyping platforms is Userlytics compatible with?

We are compatible with all major operating systems, including Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android.

Userlytics is also compatible with most major prototyping platforms, including Figma, Invision, Proto.io, Axure, Marvel App, Justinmind, and Adobe Xd. In addition to these platforms, we are compatible with any prototyping platforms that can be tested through a link.

What kind of User Testing does Userlytics do?

Both unmoderated as well as moderated (“Live Conversations”). Userlytics enables you to usability test the user experience of your websites and competitor websites, released and unreleased Mobile Apps, advertisements, and social media content, at all stages of the design and development process. <br> We capture the interaction, the verbal commentary of the participants and of the moderator if any, AND the participants themselves and their context through their webcam, in a picture-in-pìcture format, so you can be sure they are your target Persona. Userlytics also provides Quant study tools, making it simple to gather useful UX insights from your study participants. This includes surveys, Card Sorts, Tree Tests, Time on Task measurements, Success/Fail rates, and other related metrics. When you need reliable statistics without using screen, audio, or face recording, you can quickly receive hundreds of Quant results from our panel of over 2 million participants.

What changes do I have to make on my website or mobile App to conduct user testing?

None. You do NOT need to add snippets of code anywhere on your website. You do NOT need to insert an SDK into your Mobile App. You can conduct remote usability testing at any stage of the design and development and launch of your website, mobile app or other digital asset, with no type of intrusive modifications to your proprietary code. Full compatibility with all user experience design, prototyping and prototype delivery platforms.

What kind of instructions should I use for remote Usability Testing?

You can direct participants to perform any goal or task or question, in any order, including leveraging branching logic, to help you optimize the user experience of your websites, mobile apps, online advertising and content, and discover the reasons behind your analytics and funnel conversion results. You can also leverage pre-formatted activity types such as system usability scale questions, net promoter score questions, Matrix questions, Image testing tools, and have results automatically tabulated (as well as time on task, success/failure, SEQ, surveys, etc.) We provide a set of customizable templates.

You might ask about:

Site navigation, Mobile App downloads and interactions, The understanding of an advertising message, How do customers find your website or App or those of your competition, The process for satisfying a need or objective, Ease of use and intuitiveness. Design, video, colors, layout, Specific processes such as: registration, login, check out, utilities, etc. , If they would use your site or recommend it to a friend. Other user experience & usability questions specific to your user testing objectives, Comparisons with competitors, production and prototype assets, offline and online media

What kind of files can be uploaded for remote user testing?

You can user test any type of file (JPG, .GIF, .PNG, PDF, HTML, JS, CSS, etc), or Mobile App (Android, iOS, Free, Paid, released, unreleased…)

If you have a proprietary file format that you are unsure of, please contact us and we will be happy to review your needs and work with you to make your remote usability test project a success.

What if I make a mistake setting up a remote usability test?

You can run a “preview” of the test flow/journey/script, and then edit your directions, goals, tasks and questions or demographic selections until you are satisfied. You even change the test script or maximum session time or number of respondents in real time after your test has been launched and is live.

What is a starting point URL, and do I have to define one?

The “Starting Point URL” is the website, app or prototype your participant will immediately be pointed to when they begin a user experience study. The decision to include a Starting Point URL depends on whether you are conducting an unmoderated test or a moderated test, and what your test goals are.

If you are conducting an unmoderated study and would like to immediately point your participant to a URL at the beginning of the test, you will need to fill the starting point URL. When you place your URL in this field, the user will be sent to that location at the beginning of the test. However, if you would prefer to ask a few questions before directing the user to a site or app, toggle “Define Destination URL(s) inside the TestScript.” This will allow you to place your URL at a later task.

If you are conducting a moderated study, you do not need Starting Point URL. By default,“Define Destination URL(s) inside the TestScript” option will be toggled if you select “Live Conversation” as your test type. This is because our updated Live Conversations recorder allows you to direct your participant to your website, app, or prototype at any point during the session by clicking the “Share URL With Participant” button.

What recording methodologies can be used for tests taken on mobile devices?

You can use video, audio, and screen recording for tests on mobile devices, except when testing a website on iOS devices. Due to technical limitations, you can only use audio and screen recording for website tests on iOS devices.

If video recording on iOS devices is essential for your study, please contact our operations team at opsteam@userlytics.com, and we will help you.

Check out the latest five-star reviews. They are short and lack detail. Feels like something's off. The app struggles to load properly. I clear the cache and then it has the same problem again. Tests hardly ever show up. Other reviews mention similar issues. Seems like another app trying to grab your info to sell it off.

The app really drags when it comes to uploading videos after a test. Starting a test with a code feels confusing. It would make more sense to log in, hit play on the test, then enter the code. That flow feels way more intuitive.

This app rocks! Super easy to use. Instructions for surveys are clear and straightforward. It feels great to share your thoughts and actually help companies make their products and services better.

The app is really acting up. Test invitations won't show up, and the dashboard info is completely missing. The website has all the details, but the app just doesn’t respond. When I get an invite and try to launch it from the website, it redirects to the app. Then it's either stuck loading for ages or it leaves me staring at a blank screen afterward. This situation has been dragging on for too long. An update is clearly necessary.

This app is a huge disappointment. You hardly pass the survey questions to qualify. When you finally do and put in the effort, they disqualify your gift card. It feels like a complete waste of time. I've been trying for months, and now I'm done. Uninstalling this ridiculous app.

This app rocks! It’s super easy to use and get the hang of. The design is simple, and the idea behind it is fantastic.

Using the app for the first time felt smooth. Everything was straightforward. Uploading at the end took just a short while. Overall, a great experience!

I've been using the user testing app for a month. No luck qualifying for any surveys. No notifications either. Just last night, I downloaded a different app and already completed my first survey today. They emailed me about it. The other app feels a bit clunky since I have to jump away from the main screen to take the survey, but I'm all in if I can keep earning that cash. Happy to give it a 5-star rating!
