Your health is in good hands – with over 1.7 million successful telemedicine treatments provided by more than 2,800 practicing physicians, you can receive prompt assistance on a variety of health issues. Experienced doctors are available for consultations via video call around the clock. Your health insurance covers the costs of the online consultation.
What does TeleClinic offer?
Online doctor appointments. No waiting rooms. Available in the evenings and on weekends.
Through the TeleClinic app, you can easily connect with (specialist) doctors from across Germany via video call from the comfort of your home.
Electronic prescriptions (E-prescription)
You can request your E-prescription in just a few minutes through TeleClinic. It will be delivered directly within the app. You can have your medications delivered to your home or pick them up at a local pharmacy.
Sick notes (eAU)
For many illnesses, it is advisable to stay in bed and recover at home. Therefore, during your online medical visit, you can obtain a digital certificate of incapacity for work through the app.
Applicable to all health insurances
The expenses for the online consultation are covered by your statutory health insurance. If you are privately insured, you can submit the invoice as usual.
Comprehensive service with friendly support
At TeleClinic, you are always the focus. This is why we place great importance on the quality of medical treatments and reliable, friendly customer service.
Please note: Patients from Bavarian health insurance are always requested to select a specific doctor for their appointment inquiry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my health insurance company cover the costs?
For those with statutory insurance, the costs for the online doctor's visit are covered by your health insurance company. If you choose self-pay treatment as a statutory health insurance holder, the costs for the treatment, prescription, and medication will not be covered by your health insurance company and are also non-reimbursable. You will only receive private documents (prescription and sick note). Privately insured people will receive an invoice as usual, which you can submit to their insurance company.
What do I need to consider with electronic prescriptions or sick notes?
After completing telemedicine treatment, doctors can issue electronic prescriptions (including statutory prescriptions, private prescriptions, and recommended prescriptions) and certificates of incapacity for work via TeleClinic in accordance with the applicable legal requirements and framework. These are legally valid and recognized by employers and pharmacies. Please note that a certificate of incapacity for work can only be issued for a maximum of three days.
Where can I redeem my prescription?
After the doctor has issued your electronic prescription, you can redeem it directly using the app. You can choose an online pharmacy for delivery to your home or visit a local pharmacy. Your prescription is, of course, available via the gematik e-prescription app or the electronic health card (eGK).
How long will I have to wait?
On average, you can see a doctor within one hour. This can vary depending on workload and the time of day.
How does the digital doctor's visit work?
First, you submit your request to us via the online form or in the app. You will be notified when the online consultation begins and can join the consultation via the app. The connection with the doctor is established immediately as soon as they also join the online consultation. During the consultation, the doctor will take as much time as necessary to address your concerns until all important questions have been clarified and will then issue you with all the important documents in the app.
