Meanwhile, over in a dwindling fishing village in Norway, the Johansen family's fragile peace is shattered following the suspicious death of their matriarch, Ingrid. Their survival hinges on confronting their inner demons and navigating the schemes of a cult, as they uncover the terrifying link that binds them.

Introducing the Basics of SILENT HILL: Ascension

Episodes

The Episodes in SILENT HILL: Ascension is a section where you can watch video clips of the released episodes that are yet to be finished. Firstly, you must go through The Essentials, a clip explaining the complete mechanics of the game.

The rest of the two sections: Catch Up and Episodes are the areas where you get all the episodes in a single clip. These videos help you to relive the storyline in case you have missed the live episode and earn enough Influence Points to use later on. 

Decisions

The decisions section can be accessed from the home screen itself. It is displayed at the bottom of the home screen. You get a certain number of decisions that can be impactful on the story. You can always contribute to the decision that has the maximum percentage or choose any of your liking.

The active decisions, compared to the live ones, take more Influence Points. Each of the decisions you make has a separate fate for the characters in the game. 

Goals

The goals section in SILENT HILL consists of a few tasks related to the in-game activities. The section is divided into two parts: Daily and Weekly. As the name suggests, both of these goals are to be achieved within the stipulated time slots respectively.

This becomes a constant source of Influence Points for you as you finish each of the assigned tasks. XPs are also provided as rewards for the completion of daily or weekly goals. 

Arcane Library

The Arcane Library inhabits puzzles and mini-games. These provide the chance to earn IPs along with some fun on the way. This section is also divided into two parts: Arcane and Mindfulness. Arcane holds puzzles while Mindfulness has a few mini music and other games.

Each day a new puzzle is unlocked in the Arcane. Both these help earn Influence Points and XPs. The only difference is that the games in Mindfulness add up to the Hope of characters and they have a better chance of survival in the story. 

Season Pass

The Season Pass in Silent Hill is of a single type. It can only be accessible when purchased using real money transactions. The rewards can be obtained then only. The Season Pass is also a source of earning Influence Points.

Apart from the main currency, other items such as hair and frames can be acquired to enhance their character. Also, the more IPs you earn through the game, the more leveled up the Pass will be, and you can receive high-level rewards.

1. Achieve Goals

The daily and weekly goals in SILENT HILL help you to earn Influence Points and XPs. A certain number of tasks are renewed daily or weekly depending on the goal you are pursuing. It’s important to achieve the milestone and reap the benefits of finishing tasks before the time runs out. This way you are bound to mold the fate of characters to your liking. 

2. Solve Puzzles

Along with the main gameplay of SILENT HILL, you are provided with puzzles and mini-games. These factors keep up the interest of the audience in the storyline. You can access these puzzles from the Arcane Library. Each day a new puzzle is unlocked for you to play and obtain IPs and XPs. The resources can further be put to use during the decision-making in the Live episode. 

3. Catch up with Previous Episodes

When you log into the game, there will be some episodes lined up for you to watch. You must watch the previously released episodes to catch up on the story and gain insights into what decisions you should make to impact the narrative positively. Also, the unwatched episodes offer you some fixed Influence Points to be used later on during the Livestream. 

4. Take Part in a Decision

Decision-making in SILENT HILL is the most important aspect of the characters and their fate. Your decision affects their future and decides whether they receive redemption, suffering, or damnation. Contributing to a decision with other audiences adds up to your profile. The responsible decision creates an impact on their survival in a progressive way. It’s in your hands to relieve the characters from the monsters in the game.
