Q: How do I use offline synced lyrics?
There are three methods for how to get offline synced lyrics.
Method 1:
Download the time-stamped lyrics for your songs. They are need to be in this format: [00:04:02] Some lyrics text
Copy these time-stamped lyrics.
Open retro music and head to the song synced lyrics editor.
Paste the lyrics there normally and exit the editor
Open back lyrics & you should see your time-stamped lyrics there.
Method 2:
Download the .lrc files for your songs They are need to be in this format: [00:04:02] Some lyrics text
Now you have to rename the file you created in this way: <song_name> - <artist_name>.lrc or for better matching copy the <song_name> and the <artist_name> from the tag editor and then rename the file.
Now paste the LRC files to the following path : /sdcard/Retromusic/lyrics/ Here sdcard is your internal storage.
Method 3: (Requires third-party app)
Download automatag or autotagger from Play Store.
Find the time-stamped lyrics for your songs which don't have lyrics already. A time-stamped lyrics looks like this, [00:04:02] Some lyrics text for example.
Now you have to rename the file you created in this way: <song_name> - <artist_name>.lrc or for better matching copy the <song_name> and the <artist_name> from the tag editor and then rename the file.
Find your song to edit and paste the synced lyrics.
Some Important Notes:
If you want to skip to particular time stamp, simply scroll to the time stamp from where you want to start from and a 'Play' icon will appear left to the particular stamp. Tap on play button to play from there.
When you save lyrics by pasting them into the lyrics editor, close the lyrics editor and reopen it for the lyrics to appear.
We have a short tutorial video for those who are having trouble getting the synced lyrics to work. (Tap here to watch the video tutorial)

Comments
Visually it's the best music player I've come across. However, scrolling through the artists has always been janky and now it's started cutting songs off about 2-3 seconds before they end and going ahead to the next track. Edit: randomly this morning it has started crashing every time I try to change album art when tag editing.
Needed to switch music players recently and this is my new go-to. It's quick to launch, needs no manual settings to work out of the gate, and has an easy, intuitive UI. Playback is clean and smooth. Repeat snd shuffle work well. The different galleries are simple to navigate. I do miss smart playlists but those are rare in apps these days. The manual playlist system is a bit clunky for building lists but it works.
I really do love this app-it's beautiful and highly functional with lots of bells and whistles. Stunning UI that is endlessly customisable. Easy to use-one click, and all playlists are imported! Unfortunately, this app keeps crashing intermittently, and I keep getting the "cannot play this song" error. So disappointed. 2 stars deducted. Paid version. đ
This music player used to be very good. After recent update, most of the originally auto updated artists' images disappear. The music player now looks so user unfriendly because almost everyone has no artist image (before update, only a few of them got no images). I really love the originally auto updated artist images (not album covers) which are unique, clear and easily recognizable. Please kindly fix the issue...
The UI had exactly what I was looking for, music separated by artist, using an image of the artist, then subdivide each artist into each of their respective albums. Under the artist albums can then be sorted alphabetically or chronologically. It is shocking that this is not the norm for every media player. Thank you!
One of the best music players! It lets you edit song details and even fetch artist images. However, it often crashes when editing albums. Also, changing the album artist causes songs from the same album to split into multiple albums with the same name. Please fix these issuesâthe app is great otherwise!
When I first downloaded this app over a year ago, it was great. However, in the last few months I've noticed that there is now an issue when changing songs. If you skip two songs in quick succession, it seems that it gets stuck on the first song for about 15 seconds before switching (or sometimes completely skips the second song). This is somewhat of an annoyance and once this is fixed I'll happily change this to 5 star.
