Additionally, it offers functionality to help locate lost hearing aids. Furthermore, you have the ability for your hearing care expert to modify your hearing aid programs and send updates remotely, eliminating the need for a clinic visit.

With the ReSound Smart 3D application, you can:

• Access optimization anywhere through ReSound Assist: Get support for your hearing aid adjustments from your hearing care provider and receive new settings and software updates directly.

You can also take advantage of these control and personalization features:

• Modify the volume levels of your hearing aids

• Turn off your hearing aids

• Adjust the volume for any optional ReSound streaming accessories you may have

• Fine-tune speech focus, as well as noise and wind-exposure levels using Sound Enhancer (availability of this feature may vary based on your hearing aid model and your healthcare provider’s fitting)

• Switch between manual and streaming programs

• Change and customize program names

• Tweak treble, midrange, and bass settings to fit your taste

• Save your preferred configurations as Favorites – you can even attach them to specific locations

• Check the battery level of your rechargeable hearing devices

• Get assistance in finding misplaced hearing aids

• Use the tinnitus management function to adjust sound variation and frequency of the Tinnitus Sound Generator. Choose Nature Sounds (availability of this feature may differ based on your hearing aid model and fitting by your hearing care provider)

Are my hearing aids compatible with the ReSound Smart 3D app?

ReSound ONE, ReSound Key, ReSound LiNX Quattro, ReSound ENZO Q, ReSound LiNX 3D and ReSound ENZO 3D hearing aids are compatible. Please see www.resound.com/compatibility for which app to use if you have other hearing aids.

How do I check if my Android device is compatible with the ReSound Smart 3D app?

Check the list of verified devices on www.resound.com/compatibility. If your device is not on this list, do the following: Connect the hearing aids to the app. If the connection is successful, please try to connect/disconnect the hearing aids and the app 2-3 times to make sure that the connection is consistent after the initial pair. If the connection is unsuccessful, please see ‘I’m connecting my Android device for the first time, but it’s not connecting – what do I do?’ 

I’m connecting my Android device for the first time, but it’s not connecting – what do I do?

Please check the following:

- Are the hearing aids paired to other smart devices in the room? If yes, please unpair/forget from other devices before proceeding with any pairing on a new device.

- Are the hearing aids powered on before starting the pairing? If yes, wait to power on the hearing aids until after the pairing process has been started in the app.

- Are the hearing aids paired via the phone’s Bluetooth menu already? If yes, forget the hearing aid pairing from the device, restart the hearing aids, and pair from the app menu instead.

- Is the app reporting ‘Try again’ in the pairing or connect process? If yes, power off the hearing aids and try again. If it consistently won´t connect and the device is not whitelisted, the device is not compatible.

How do I get access to ReSound Assist?

In the ReSound Smart 3D app, go to the menu My ReSound. If you see items available under ReSound Assist, you have access. If you see ‘Activate ReSound Assist’, tap that and follow the flow to get access. If you do not see ReSound Assist in the menu, or if you think you should have more items available, contact your hearing care professional who must enable ReSound Assist for you. Please note that ReSound Assist is available in select global markets.

    I will never buy another pair of Resound hearing aids again because of this app. It lags and freezes all the time. I have to force stop it just to get it to work, but that only succeeds half the time. The app runs so slowly that I've been late for work multiple times. Eight months later, nothing has changed. I got a new phone, but the app is still terrible. It loses sync constantly and I still have to force-stop it to make it responsive again.

    This app has some frustrating quirks. Each time it launches, it prompts to enable GPS services for finding lost hearing aids. That feature doesn’t appeal to me at all, yet I can’t turn off that persistent notification. Really irritating. On top of that, there's a constant reminder about disabling sounds on the lock screen. I’ve already done that, so it's perplexing that the app doesn't recognize it. Such a hassle!

    Hearing aids worked great for two months. In December, there was an update that changed everything. Lost the "front focus" feature, which was one of the main reasons for buying them. Reached out to support, but no response came. Just two days ago, opened the app and noticed another update, unfortunately too late. While watching TV, the streaming started acting up. It would drop off for long stretches, then come back for a brief moment. After that first loss of front focus, I promised myself to avoid future updates. Now, it feels nearly impossible to enjoy watching TV.

    Audio streaming on Android 12 is a significant letdown. This app needs serious improvement. Users deserve better responses from Resound's support team. Connectivity doesn't matter when the core function fails. Streaming should be seamless, but it isn't. Enough with the excuses; just fix the app. As of October 25, 2022, things remain unchanged. No support for Android 13 either. I'm moving forward with different devices in 2023, and ReSound will not be considered.

    This app brings so much frustration. It barely works, no matter what I do. Navigating through it feels clunky and awkward. Adjusting the volume and switching programs isn’t too hard, but honestly, it’s just as simple to use the buttons on the hearing aids. ReSound needs to step up or just get rid of this app altogether.

    I used this app on my Samsung Galaxy S9, and it was fine. Now that I've switched to the Galaxy S21 5G, it's a different story. I reached out to Resound tech support, trying all their suggestions. Nothing seems to work. My hearing aids keep disconnecting. Restarting my phone is the only temporary fix, but it’s so frustrating to do this multiple times a day. I really wish they would sort out these issues with their app. Until then, I can’t recommend Resound.

    For about a year, I used the app to adjust volume levels while using the TV Streamer. Always reliable. Today, an unexpected event happened because of my face mask. After I took it off and came back inside, I realized my right hearing aid was completely off. It could have ended up anywhere in the house, the garage, the front walk, the lawn, who knows? My wife and I retraced my steps while wearing the mask, but we were stumped. Then, I remembered the app had a "Find my Hearing Aid" feature that I’d never tried. Honestly, I didn’t think it would work, but I was wrong. The app showed signal strength for both hearing aids based on their distance from my phone. In the end, it led me right to my hearing aid, half-buried in the lawn, several feet away from where I thought I lost it. This app deserves ten stars for this alone. It saved me a huge hassle and loss of service. Big thanks to ReSound!

    Using the Google Pixel 6 Pro can be frustrating when it comes to random restarts. The issue seems tied to an app that runs in the background. Many users have shared their experiences with similar problems stemming from apps causing disruptions. The persistent sign-up screen for Resound Assist adds to the annoyance. Having to stop and restart the app each time becomes a hassle. It's like dealing with constant interruptions. Checking reviews or forums might reveal if others face similar annoyances. Finding a solution would definitely make using the phone smoother.
