PhotoGuru Media Player is crafted to showcase photos and videos from various hosting platforms on devices running Android, such as smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and set-top boxes. Its user-friendly and visually appealing interface allows users effortless access to their media, providing an economical solution for presenting photos, videos, and multimedia in a highly professional manner. PhotoGuru is compatible with Google Android TV devices and Amazon FireTV players, and it supports 4K/UHD image rendering on several high-end gadgets.

The application has been downloaded over 200,000 times from both Google and Amazon stores, making it popular in homes, offices, retail spaces, and among promoters at concerts and events.

PhotoGuru Media Player can retrieve photos and videos from the following cloud-based services:

• Dropbox

• Flickr

• Google Drive

• Google Photos

• Local USB drives

• Microsoft OneDrive

• SmugMug

• UPnP/DLNA

• Windows Server (Samba, CIFS)

• WebDAV

• Zenfolio

This app also supports true 4K/UHD rendering of images on devices such as:

• FireTV 4K (the compact rectangular box released in 2015)

• FireTV Stick 4K (launched in November 2018)

• NVidia Shield (all versions)

It should be noted that, due to hardware constraints, PhotoGuru does not support 4K rendering on the FireTV 4K dongle released in November 2017.

The application is free of ads and incurs no costs. To maintain this, and to eliminate a trial notification within the app, users are encouraged to purchase the module for their preferred cloud storage service for around $4.50. The funds raised will aid in the future development of the app and the acquisition of new testing equipment.

Title: PhotoGuru Media Player: A Seamless and Professional Solution for Unified Media Display

My experience with PhotoGuru Media Player has been exceptionally positive, as it effectively solves the long-standing challenge of seamlessly displaying a media library scattered across multiple cloud services on a large screen. The application's greatest strength lies in its remarkable versatility; it effortlessly consolidates content from a wide array of sources like Google Photos, OneDrive, and even local network storage into a single, elegant interface.

Setting up the various cloud connections is straightforward, and once configured, the app performs flawlessly, presenting photos and videos with a polished, professional aesthetic that is perfectly suited for both home entertainment and business environments. I was particularly impressed with the crisp, true 4K image rendering on my NVidia Shield, which does full justice to my high-resolution photography.

The fact that this powerful tool is completely free of advertisements is commendable. The one-time, minimal cost to remove the trial notification for a specific cloud service is a very reasonable model that directly supports continued development. PhotoGuru has become an indispensable tool for creating dynamic slideshows for family gatherings and client presentations alike, offering a level of reliability and visual quality that truly sets it apart from other media players.

The capacitive buttons stay hidden behind the interface. It's really frustrating.

This app is fantastic for viewing photos on a big TV screen. Storing everything in Dropbox makes it even better. PhotoGuru can pull in all those photos effortlessly. You can browse through them at your own pace or create a slideshow. It also works as a screensaver, integrating with Daydream, the Android TV feature. There's a small fee of $3.50 for the Dropbox function to remove a message, but that feels fair. If someone wants to use multiple services, costs might add up since each service has its own fee to eliminate messages. Most users probably will stick with one or two services. Getting used to the app took some time, but once you understand it, everything runs smoothly. One really great feature is the six different options for sorting photos within a folder. Plus, you can set the slideshow to display them randomly.

This app does an amazing job reading EXIF and IPTC data. It helps photographers to manage their images effectively. However, it lacks support for raw images, which is a significant drawback given their growing popularity. I would give it 4 stars for that reason alone. Many users wonder if there are plans to include raw image support in future updates.

You found a paid app for your Android TV. You really think it should be free. Frustration hit. It looks interesting, but the price tag stands in the way. You're wishing for that one tap to download without spending money. It's tough when you see something cool but can't access it without paying. All you want is the fun without the cost.

That’s funny! It seems like they’re trying to make you pay for access. Such a sneaky move!

The imagery stands out with its excellent quality. Adding a feature to display the time in the bottom right corner could enhance it even further. Including other details like temperature would be a nice touch too.

This app is a disappointment. It doesn't save SMB settings on the Mi Box S or Firestick. The developer hasn't addressed the issue. Using it feels like a waste of time.

I really want to love this app. It just doesn’t read my USB stick. Other apps have no issues with it. This situation leaves me feeling disappointed.

Used it for the past few weeks. It definitely deserves a full five stars.
