The app is on the right track. The images look fantastic. Still, it definitely needs work. The response time is sluggish. Navigation feels clunky and not user-friendly. Adjusting settings like contrast can be frustrating because the layout isn't ideal. There's noticeable lag when capturing images. A timer feature would be a great addition too.

The user experience can be frustrating. You take a photo, then you want to view it only to see small thumbnails. To enlarge the image, first, you need to save it in an album folder. Then, you have to navigate to that folder to view the photo in fullscreen. It’s not the smoothest process.

Pressing the shutter button can be frustrating. Sometimes it takes a photo, other times nothing happens. Editing photos often leads to crashes, especially during cropping or adding overlays. It's annoying that everything saves directly to the app. Exporting to phone storage feels like an extra step. It’s disappointing because I’ve purchased everything offered by the devs. The app needs more development.

I found this amazing app for black and white photos. The look and layout really caught my eye. The filters are fantastic. However, I hit a snag trying to purchase the all filters pack. When I tap on "OK got it," nothing happens. Frustrating! It’s similar with some other individual filters too. Only a handful bring up the Google Play payment window while others remain unresponsive. So disappointing!

This app really shines with new phones that have multiple lenses. It captures fantastic black and white tones and moods using the available simulations. The user interface feels clunky and not very intuitive. A paid version could definitely improve the overall experience. Exporting and reviewing photos needs work, too. Despite these issues, it remains the best black and white app for Android!

This app shines for black and white photography. The design and user interface impress with their smoothness and attention to detail. It provides plenty of control while keeping things simple. One improvement could be a more straightforward way to view photos in full screen within the Gallery, rather than needing to go through the Edit screen for each one.

July 22, 2023 brought excitement with the option to get textures back. Just go to the gallery, then settings, and hit "Restore Purchase." Back on May 10, 2020, the treasure of "textures" was discovered. In the gallery, there was a hidden gem in the sliders. A small papers icon sat in the lower right corner, waiting to be found. Sliding the icon bar revealed it. B+W filters created joy. The RGBYO effects added extra flair. Yet, there were some frustrations. Other filters like HC and TS lacked proper explanations. Clarity could easily fit into the "buy-more-filters" section. It would enhance the overall experience. Texture descriptions also fell short. Some cut off mid-sentence. This left a sense of mystery about what they really offered. Improvements would bring so much more satisfaction.

The app has a fantastic interface and features, but I encountered some issues. I couldn't find an option to set the focal length or crop factor, which is essential for my needs. It lets me change it while shooting, but it resets to wide angle each time I reopen the app. This makes it impractical for me. Another point of concern: the photos aren't saved as JPGs in any folder. They only exist within the app itself. If someone uninstalls the app, those photos disappear. Definitely something to consider before using this app!

The black and white images stand out. The rest? Not so much. No clear instructions or help section available. The website link? It's broken due to a spelling error. When you manage to find the site, it’s not mobile-friendly at all. It doesn’t even work well on desktop in Chrome. You end up staring at a bizarre image that fails to load, with links for email and two social media accounts alongside an About section. I didn't bother with the contact links. I wouldn't be surprised if those don't function either. The About section? Just a vague statement about a group of photographers and their "stories." Good luck finding any details about them. My two decades in IT have shown me that good developers write clean, functional code. This app misses the mark entirely. It’s chaotic and riddled with mistakes, reflecting a complete disregard for detail. Uninstalled it without hesitation. Definitely can't recommend it. Plenty of camera apps out there offer solid support and excel at black and white photography.
