Navigate your character through a life-like 3D environment.

In Persona 5: The Phantom X, gameplay begins with an introductory sequence that sets up the main storyline. True to the franchise’s roots, you assume the role of a young student who awakens in a darkened reality following a disturbing nightmare. Right from the beginning, you'll explore the game's metaverse, confronting shadows bent on creating turmoil in society. You won’t be embarking on this journey alone; characters such as the owl Lufel and student Motoha Arai will join you on your quests.

As you make your way through the game, you'll encounter both new areas and familiar sites from the series, including the Velvet Room and Mementos. Occasionally, you’ll need to navigate to specific strategic locations to advance the storyline.

Benefit from the gacha system integrated into the game. While progressing through challenges in Persona 5: The Phantom X, you'll engage with a gacha mechanic, granting you access to unlock powerful characters and abilities. This title intertwines traditional gameplay elements with unique features, such as a promotional banner that offers guaranteed rewards after a set number of attempts. Attempts can be purchased using gems, which serve as the premium currency for in-game transactions, but you're also rewarded with complimentary gems for completing certain tasks.

Collect exceptional characters in Persona 5: The Phantom X, featuring a diverse roster of 4- and 5-star heroes categorized into various roles: attackers, buffers, debuffers, defenders, healers, and navigators. Five stars for a unique persona spinoff with its own style and flair. But then, minus one star for the gacha system. Minus two stars for live service issues ruining the experience. It’s frustrating. Interrupting every cutscene, being forced back to the menu every ten seconds, enemies getting the upper hand while you’re stuck reconnecting. Never seeing what you open or roll is a letdown. Even worse, spending real money only to get nothing in return. It’s really disappointing.

This game is fantastic! The story, characters, and settings are incredible. It feels just like Persona 5 but on your phone. Gacha mechanics aren't needed much, so players who prefer free-to-play can really enjoy it! A couple of things could be better, though. Loading times when ambushing enemies and returning to the field after battles can be a bit annoying. Also, the lack of proper controller support is disappointing. Despite these small issues, it still shines bright. If you're a fan of Persona, you definitely need to check it out!

The game has some things that hold it back. The owl often criticizes my vocabulary, which is frustrating. Advertisements are rare, but the game remains friendly for free-to-play users. It shares a lot with Persona 5, not just in visuals and combat mechanics. Many characters have backstories strikingly similar to those in Persona 5. One of my early characters has a voice that I find annoying, plus she’s a support character, leaving no options for substitution. Unlocking characters too early feels odd, and there are moments of lag that can be bothersome.

This game is insane for mobile! I never fully dove into the Persona series. Played the first and last a bit, but now I’m definitely checking them out after this. The story grabs you, and some of the writing is just fun. The style is eye-catching, and the music hits different, even though it’s not usually my jam. Given the companies behind it, I expected something decent, but this looks incredible for mobile. The world feels detailed too, especially for a phone game. Whether you’re into Persona or not, it’s a solid pick, especially since it’s free!

The story captures attention, but the on-screen controls present a real problem. They sit too far in the center, creating an awkward experience. Gameplay gets obscured, making it hard to focus. It would be fantastic if there were options to reposition those controls or shift them closer to the edges by default. A small change could make a big difference in enjoyment.

I really enjoy the game. It's engaging and fun. The only thing holding me back from giving it a full five stars is the absence of an English voice option. Some subtitles disappear too quickly to read, which makes it hard to follow the story. That makes the experience frustrating for me.

What an incredible game! I've dived into it on the Korean servers since the Chinese New Year event. A couple of things stand out for me. First, there isn't an exclusive bond banner system. This really lowers the odds for snagging a 5-star character. Plus, the pity cap rises, but at least you don't have to deal with that frustrating 50/50 situation. You see this in the KR, TW, and CN versions. Second, soft pity is absent. I went all the way to 80 pity just to get Joker, which felt like a long wait. Lastly, the game struggles on older phones. For those who can, I highly suggest playing on PC. It runs so much smoother!

It sounds frustrating to experience those bugs in the game. The thrill of immersing yourself in a mainline Persona feels so good, but these glitches can really disrupt the flow. Getting stuck after interacting with chests or locks is annoying. Leaving and reentering the metaverse just to fix it breaks the immersion. Hopefully, a patch will come out soon to resolve these issues. Enjoy the rest of your journey in the world!

It feels frustrating when the global version lags behind others. The excitement of a 110 guaranteed banner and soft pity makes a huge difference. Some high-value packs missing from the global server adds to the disappointment. Many players feel uncertain about sticking with the game if these problems continue. It's hard to understand how a good version exists but the global one struggles. Performance issues also shouldn't be part of the experience. Players hope for fixes soon to enjoy the game as it should be.

I've loved this series for such a long time. The story and style of the game truly shine. Still, I face some major frustrations with it. The grind feels endless, and the drop rates are disheartening. The controls frustrate me the most. Just when I want to dive deeper into the game, I hit these moments that require pinpoint accuracy. It’s like walking into traps instead of solving puzzles. Each misstep sends me back to the start. I really wish I could enjoy it more without these hurdles.
