Pathbuilder 2e: The Digital Character Forge That Made Me Fall in Love With Pathfinder Again

As a forever-GM drowning in stacks of scribbled character sheets, Pathbuilder 2e didn’t just organize my chaos—it reignited my creative spark. The moment I dragged a Swashbucklerclass onto the canvas and watched feats like Panache Pivot dynamically unlock while calculating my precise AC with Buckler Duelistdedication felt like wizardry.

Gone were the nights of cross-referencing three rulebooks; here, building a Grippli Alchemist became pure joy—watching bombs-per-day auto-tally as I selected Far Lobber, seeing my movement adjust when adding Climberheritage. But the true magic happened at the table: projecting my tablet during sessions, tapping conditions to apply frightened penalties that instantly recalculated every skill check, while the Audacityfeat pulsed gold on-screen when I crit.

Exporting a printer-friendly PDF for my analog-loving player felt like gifting a masterpiece. It’s not just a planner—it’s a living blueprint where theorycrafting a level 20 Mind Smithbecomes as smooth as level 1, all wrapped in an interface so intuitive, even my technophobe cleric player now swears by it.

This app is fantastic. So much help and really well done. I wish it was available on iOS; my friends could use it too. One issue stands out. No delete option. I can't edit my custom weapons either. Now I'm stuck with a messed-up weapon list and a few characters I'll probably never touch. It's not a huge deal, but it definitely feels frustrating.

This app outshines Hero Lab by a long shot. Surprising, considering it's linked with Paizo. Instead of focusing on their main projects, they seem to juggle multiple ones. For an individual running this app, it truly is impressive. The ads? Barely noticeable, just small banners here and there. I actually paid five dollars, not really to ditch the ads, but to show my support for such a great app.

This tool works wonderfully and has really helped with my campaigns. One thing I would love to see is a dark mode. I’m visually impaired, and reading black on white text can be quite challenging without a magnifier. Other than that, everything runs smoothly!

This character building app stands out for tabletop RPGs. It offers an incredible experience, making character creation feel seamless. I really wish it could reach more platforms beyond just Android. The only downside lies in its ease of use. Some players might rely on it too much, missing out on understanding the game at a deeper level. That issue doesn't reflect on the app itself.

Building a Pathfinder character can feel overwhelming. You want everything just right. I found this app to help with my character sheets since my 2E characters didn't quite shine. Turns out, I overlooked some class skills and two ability boosts! The app makes adjustments straightforward and can really improve your character. It’s perfect for newcomers to Pathfinder 2E. Starting your adventure becomes much easier with this tool at your side!

What an amazing app for Pathfinder 2e! Always up to date. A one-time purchase of $5 makes it such a great deal, especially if GMs get it on PC too. Sorry, iPhone users. It would be awesome if they had it for that platform. My players often need to borrow my device to keep track of their characters, which is a hassle. As an Android fan, this part feels inconvenient, but that’s my only real issue.

This app makes the game so much better. It stands out for being polished and well maintained, especially for a free app. The only thing you need to buy is a one-time purchase, and it’s very affordable, under ten bucks. I really wish the in-play interface was a bit more user-friendly. It serves its purpose but feels like it's overwhelmed by how popular it is. It’s too good not to have with you at the table!

The work invested in this application is impressive. The developers consistently update it with each new book and rule, making it a valuable tool for my playgroup and me. Pathfinder 2e’s rulebook can be confusing since rules often appear scattered. This app organizes everything neatly, presenting the information in a straightforward manner. Building a character becomes effortless. We even create a dummy character to explore different spells and feats. One suggestion would be adding a separate button on the main page for reference materials so we can easily access spells and feats without needing to create a new character. Overall, it’s a fantastic application.
