Make Your Heroes Stronger in Outerplane

Outerplane is a turn-based RPG that features a ton of strategic elements. However, no matter what strategy you may deploy, it will all fail if your heroes themselves and weak and drop dead easily. This is where you should consider making them stronger in order to progress more effectively, saving both your time and resources. Players can access their heroes by clicking on the Heroes icon located at the bottom right-hand side of the main menu.

OUTERPLANE

In this section, players will find different ways to power up their hero. Here is a brief explanation of all the systems present in Outerplane to strengthen your heroes:

- Leveling Up

- Transcend

- Skills

- Gear

OUTERPLANE

Leveling Up is one of the best ways to directly increase the strength of your heroes as levelling up increase your base stats. These base stats include Attack, Defense, and Health stat of your hero. Each hero benefits from increase in these stats. Just like any RPG game, players can expect to level their heroes by taking them into battles where they earn small amounts of experience. Players can also farm the Bandit Dungeon daily 2 times per day at maximum. This Bandit dungeon is a consistent source of high-level experience materials that can be fed directly to the heroes to increase their levels. To level up any hero, go to the Heroes tab and select any hero you want to level. Go to the Info tab, and click on the Enhance Hero option. Players will see an interface where they can tap or hold the food materials to increase the level of the hero.

OUTERPLANE

Transcend is a way of increasing the Star level of your heroes. Players will require fragments of the same hero to be able to transcend them. Each transcend phase increases their base stats greatly while also increasing their level cap. To transcend heroes, players will need 150 fragments of the hero. A single duplicate summon of the hero yields only 50 fragments. Hence, players will need multiple duplicates of a hero to be able to transcend them.

Skills of all heroes can be upgraded as well to provide some better damage multipliers and improve their overall utility of them. Skills of heroes in Outerplane can be enhanced according to the current level of the hero. Skilling up heroes takes Basic Skill Manuals and Gold.

OUTERPLANE

Gear is the primary method of increasing the overall strength of your heroes as they provide a massive boost to the hero’s power ratings. Consider them like Equipments in other games where equipping certain number of the same set of gear provides your heroes with specific skills. For example, the Attack Set allows heroes to gain flat 30% Attack if players equip 4 gears of the Attack set. That is on top of the stats provided by the gear pieces themselves.

Understanding the Summoning System

Outerplane is a turn-based RPG where players fight with their formation of 4 distinct heroes in the team. The games are quite strategical while the flow of the combat is super smooth, much like Epic Seven itself. However, the difference between the 2 games arises and is shown quite abruptly in the summoning systems. Much like other gacha games, the sole purpose of the summoning system is to give players new and strong heroes to recruit and add to their formations. Naturally, these heroes are available at different probabilities depending on the type of summoning banner. Currently, the main banners that a new player will see are as follows:

OUTERPLANE

Infinite Recruitment Banner (1-time) – This type of recruitment banner is used for summoning 1-3 Star rarity heroes infinitely at the start of the game. This is a great system to encourage a strong start for the player. This summon banner is mandatory for new players to summon at and players will have the pleasure of infinitely summoning 10 heroes at a time until they confirm 1 set of 10 heroes. Players can infinitely summon only 10 heroes at a time, with each 10-summon guaranteeing players a 3-Star hero. Only a selected collection of heroes are available to be summoned through this banner. Players can only 1 3-Star hero per 10 summon made on the banner.

Rate-Up Recruit Banners – This type of recruitment banner is used for summoning 1–3-star rarity heroes. The featured hero will have a higher chance of being summoned if players are able to summon a 3-Star hero. The pity for the rate-up 3-Star hero is at 200 summons. This pity is in the form of mileage. Sadly, the mileage does not carry from banner to banner. But players will get the remaining amount of mileage as Star’s Memory once the banner ends.

Normal Recruit Banner – This type of recruitment banner is used for summoning 1–3-star rarity heroes. This banner contains all the 3-Star heroes available in the game. The mileage pity is also available in this recruitment banner. This pity is in the form of mileage. The mileage of the Rate-Up recruitment banner and normal recruitment banner are inter-connected. Once the rate-up recruitment banner ends, players will get the remaining amount of mileage as Star’s Memory.

OUTERPLANE

Players will get tons of summoning currencies at the start of their journey in Outerplane from the pre-registration rewards as well as global launch rewards. We would highly recommend players to spend their Ether in the rate-up recruitment banner for a chance to get the latest hero in the game. Further, we recommend players do their Infinite recruitment summons after doing the rate-up summons to avoid getting duplicate heroes. Outerplane has an intensive shard system in place that allows players to grade up their heroes by collecting a certain amount of shards of them. But getting those shards early on hampers your progress as you won’t have enough variety of heroes to deal with the tough content. In Outerplane, the base rarity of the hero determines their probability of being obtained from the recruitment banner. In the system, the highest rarity of heroes has the lowest probability of being summoned while the lowest rarity of heroes has the highest probability of being summoned.

OUTERPLANE

The rate of summoning all rarities of heroes is as follows:

3-Star Heroes – 2% Probability of being summoned

2-Star Heroes – 19% Probability of being summoned

1-Star Heroes – 79% Probability of being summoned

OUTERPLANE

Players require different types of summoning currencies to summon on different recruitment banners. The different currencies which are used during summons in the Summon system or to obtain heroes in general are as follows:

Ether – Ether is currently the only real summoning currency as of the 2nd closed beta test. Players can spend their collected Ether on either the Rate-Up Recruitment banner or the Normal recruitment banner to summon their favourite heroes. A single summon on either of the banners costs 150 Ether while a 10-summon costs 1500 Ether.

Choice Summoning Ticket (3-Star Exclusive) – Choice Summoning Ticket is the currency that is used for directly selecting a 3-Star hero of the player’s choice. If a duplicate hero was chosen, players will get the Shards for the hero instead.

Random Summoning Ticket (1-Star and 2-Star) – Random Summoning Ticket is the currency that is used for randomly summoning a 1-2 Star hero. If a duplicate hero was obtained, players will get the Shards for the hero instead.

I really wanted to love this game so much, but I just can't. I signed up early and got it when it was released, but the amount of effort needed is just too much. The story is amazing, and I adore the characters, but everything else feels like a burden. It's really tough gathering resources to strengthen characters since it requires so many materials, the events are boring, and the rewards aren't worth it. Plus, the odds of getting top-tier or new characters are extremely low. I might give it another shot later on, but for now, I can't say it's worth a recommendation.

I spun the wheel nearly a hundred times, hoping to get a 3-star hero. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck so far. The only heroes I've managed to collect are from completing challenging quests. Even though it's tough to claim them, I still enjoy playing the game. It would be great if the spinning odds were slightly more favorable. Thank you!

Alright, the game is kind of lacking in depth. The descriptions are not great, making it confusing to understand what's going on. Like, what does "effectiveness" really mean? And this "proportional to def", is it like 300% proportional or what? It's too vague to grasp. But, hey, it's a pretty good game with a solid grind. You do see progress every time you play, which keeps you hooked. I just wish the game had clearer descriptions so we could better get the hang of the skill formulas and stuff.

I loved the setting and some characters in the game so much. However, the hard mode story just ruined it for me. Now, getting through it is really tough and combat feels too slow, even though it looks cool and flashy. The animations are way too long, especially Victorious Barrage. Running out of inventory space is a constant issue and the scaling and difficulty level is just out of control. To tackle bosses, you need to have a power level above 40k and also need lots of luck. The gacha system has become absurd and it feels like so much potential has been wasted.

It's frustrating how long it takes to download at first. With my strong Wi-Fi, I left my phone for 45 minutes and only got to 30%. As soon as I checked my email, the download started all over again when I went back to the app. After spending a total of 1.5 hours just opening the app, I played for 15 minutes and closed it. But when I reopened it, I had to keep clicking on these never-ending "patches" - 200mb, 600mb, 323mb - it just didn't stop. And each of these downloads took another 15 minutes. What's going on with this game?

So yeah, I'm not happy about the latest update. The fact that we don't get rewards for challenges we already completed and have to start from scratch is frustrating. Those battles were tough the first time around, and now we have to do them again just to unlock Sweep with a 3-star rating? Not cool. And limiting us to only 5 side-story challenges per hero when it used to be 10 is just adding insult to injury. It was already a pain to level up heroes, and now it's even slower. This update sucks.

The game has many issues like heavy AFK mechanics and bad UI design. It was meant to be similar to Epic Seven, but it lacks in comparison. Buffs and debuffs are too small to interact with easily. The game lacks a clear overview screen. Getting the best characters to 3 stars or beyond requires multiple draws, making progression difficult. The chain burst skill needs all four characters alive, dragging battles when one character dies.
