Organization

Omroep Brabant employs more than 170 committed people. The board of the broadcaster is formed by the director and the Management Team. In addition, there is a Supervisory Board and a Media Council, in which the most important social, cultural and spiritual movements in the province are represented. The provincial government assesses whether the board is actually representative. Locations

The main studio is located at Science Park Eindhoven in Son, on the Ekkersrijt industrial estate.

Financing

The broadcaster is largely funded by public funds. About 20% of the total budget comes from advertising revenue and other sources (e.g. sponsorship).

Public broadcasting

As a public broadcaster, Omroep Brabant must adhere to the regulations in the Media Act. This means, among other things, that fifty percent of the programming must relate to information, education and culture from Brabant.

Emergency broadcaster

Omroep Brabant is also the province's disaster channel. Authorities can claim the channel as a disaster channel, to inform the residents of Brabant during a disaster. Omroep Brabant then broadcasts the messages unabridged and in full.
