Multi App: Dual Space is a free utility application for mobile from developer waxmoon. It's an app duplicator that lets users run two instances of their favorite apps and games at the same time. It comes with a simple and intuitive user interface and a fuss-free setup process for beginners.

The Multi App: Dual Space application works in one of two ways, with the first letting you run two instances of the same app or game, which will essentially let you have multiple accounts running simultaneously. It supports various popular messaging services, social media platforms, and online multiplayer games available today.

The other method is to create dual spaces that will help you separate personal and work applications for easier management. To support this, notifications will come independently and no data overlap will occur. On a side note, recent updates to the app have rendered it unusable. It fails to open anything and often crashes.

Handy but has a major caveat

Multi App: Dual Space allows users to have dual apps running on their devices, and it works pretty well with wide app support and a simple setup process. However, it has been suffering from a persistent issue with no fix to speak of. Until it gets addressed, you're better off trying something else.

Principle Introduction

The traditional multi-opening solution relies on java dynamic proxy, inline hook, proxy forwarding and others to ensure app running in the virtual process. If the third-party app also uses the java dynamic proxy, there will be a problem because of the proxies will overlap each other, which will cause the third-party app's code logic to change when it is running. Changes in logic "being" are so crazy, and may affect their earnings. I think traditional solutions cannot be defined as containers.

At the beginning of MultiApp technology selection, java dynamic proxy was abandoned, and binder components such as service, receiver, and provider are all maintained by MultiApp engine itself. It's a pity that the Activity component must maintain its life cycle through a proxy, but we use a more reliable solution to ensure that it does not affect the code logic of the app. In addition, we have developed a more effective svc hook solution based on seccomp/bpf in native hook technology, and will enabled it in some scenarios such as 360 shell app. In general, we are closer to the sandbox concept.
