You can easily transfer your vaccination details from the traditional yellow certificate to a digital format, which can be verified by a doctor's office. Currently, all practices utilizing the ImmunDocNE vaccination management system are supported. Just connect with the practice's team through ImmunPassDE, as the in-person link to a doctor’s office is straightforward.

Moreover, any updated digital vaccination records from a doctor's office can be sent straight to your app, keeping you informed immediately following a vaccination.

Some prior health conditions may necessitate additional vaccinations or preclude others. VaccinationPassDE allows you to input past health issues and provides tailored vaccination recommendations based on that information.

With VaccinationPassDE Plus, users can create profiles for family members, log individual or family trips, receive relevant travel advice, and get reminders for upcoming vaccinations for everyone. This family feature ensures you remain aware of the necessary vaccinations for your relatives while alerting you to specific gaps in their vaccination history. Additionally, you will gain more detailed insights about various illnesses and related vaccinations.*

It is important to mention that our app does not completely substitute the traditional yellow vaccination certificate legally, so please continue to keep it safe. However, indications point to our digital vaccination certificate potentially becoming a fully recognized certificate soon.

Transfer your vaccination record to a new/different device

You can easily export your digital vaccination record as an XML file and transfer it to your new/different device:

New device: Install ImpfPassDE, create an anonymous profile, and restore purchases if necessary.

Old device: Overview -> 3-dot menu -> Export vaccination record and then select the desired transfer method.

AirDrop / Quick Share or

"Back up to files" or

select another option.

New device: Depending on the selected transfer method, either

Confirm receipt via AirDrop / Quick Share, select ImpfPassDE if necessary, and confirm import in the app, or

Overview -> 3-dot menu -> Import vaccination record, select the XML file in iCloud / Google Drive, and confirm import in the app.

How can I manage my family's vaccination records?

With the Plus version, whether as a one-time purchase or as part of a subscription, you have the option to manage your family's vaccination records in the app. Please note that automatic synchronization of vaccination records between devices is currently not available. Therefore, you will unfortunately have to make changes to your vaccination records manually: Overview -> 3-dot menu -> Export vaccination record.

Additional information for iOS users: Purchases can be shared between family members via Family Sharing in iOS. This means you only need to purchase the Plus version once. Instructions for this can be found on the official Apple Support website: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT201088. In the ImpfPassDE app, you may need to restore purchases on your family's devices after setting up Family Sharing: Overview -> 3-dot menu -> Restore Purchases. Sharing purchases is unfortunately not currently available for Android users.

Where can I find my COVID certificates in the app?

Since COVID certificates have been officially discontinued, they are no longer displayed prominently in the app. You can find your certificates in the overview -> 3-dot menu -> Certificates.

The validity of my COVID certificates is no longer displayed. Why is this?

Unfortunately, the verification of vaccination and recovery certificates is no longer possible, as the corresponding EU regulation expired on June 30, 2023, and the associated technical systems were shut down on December 31, 2023.

In the app, you still have the option to save your vaccination certificates and generate vaccination records from them. However, checking and displaying their validity is no longer possible. The Quick ID function and Apple Watch connection have also been removed for this reason.

You can now find your certificates in the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the overview.

Why can't I enter my blood type in ImpfPassDE?

Blood type is not relevant for vaccination and therefore not part of a vaccination record. Furthermore, ImpfPassDE is registered as an accessory to a medical device and may only contain medical information confirmed by physicians. The effort involved in this, and the impact assessment required for the medical device, outweighs the benefits of this feature.

Where can I get digital confirmation of my recorded vaccinations?

When a vaccination is added, it is marked as a note in the vaccination record. Only once a doctor's office confirms it does it become a full vaccination record. For confirmation, the doctor's office must currently use the ImpfDocNE vaccination management system. For more information, simply contact your vaccination office.
