Will my newspaper be delivered by a different delivery company?

The government has decided to drastically reduce financial support for newspaper distribution.

As a result of this decision, bpost will eventually no longer be responsible for newspaper distribution in Flanders.

By the end of 2026, all regions previously served by bpost will switch delivery companies.

You will receive a notification from us in due time when your municipality is next.

Why haven't I been receiving my newspaper (on time) in my mailbox for a few days now?

Since mid-October 2024, newspapers in certain Flemish regions have no longer been delivered by bpost, but by the private companies PPP and AMP.

Despite months of preparation for the phased rollout, the transition is proving difficult in some places.

Excessively long delivery rounds, too few delivery personnel, insufficient knowledge of the area: these are some of the reasons why you might not be receiving your newspaper on time or, in the worst-case scenario, not at all.

Why did you change delivery partners?

To keep subscription prices somewhat in check.

The outgoing government significantly cut the subsidies bpost had received for newspaper delivery for years.

bpost then announced its intention to eventually discontinue newspaper delivery and immediately raised its rates.

Therefore, newspaper publishers were forced to look for other players in the market. These became AMP and PPP.

What should I do if I haven't received one or more newspapers?

Go to My Mediahuis and submit a delivery notification. This will then be delivered to the person responsible for newspaper distribution in your area.

You can also call the toll-free number 0800 290 14. This is our customer service's automated delivery line.

Your subscription will be automatically extended by one day for each missed newspaper through both channels.

Of course, as a print newspaper subscriber, you also have the option to read the newspaper digitally.
