Ground News - Bias checker news app

I've been using Ground News for just 3 weeks, and I already love it. It's a must-have app to broaden your news sources and learn more about where news stories originate, fact-checking, and biases. The app is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. I'll definitely be telling others about it and have already suggested that my family try it out. Right now, I don't have any suggestions for improvements because it's been a great experience so far.

Wow, I really admire the concept behind this app. However, I find it frustrating that the same articles keep popping up repeatedly without any option to dismiss or flag them. It almost renders the app ineffective for me. I also like how they offer more detailed choices when indicating that you prefer "less of these articles". Nonetheless, I can't bear seeing the same five articles over and over again!

This news app is amazing! It puts all the news in one spot and even fact-checks, which is rare from other news outlets. Using this app has made it easier for me to verify my news sources and discover more trustworthy news options online, on TV, and radio. I used to rely on CNN, BBC, The Hill, and New York Times. But now, this app is the only one I use on my phone.

I purchased a year of the app because I see its possibilities. Yet, some important problems arose. Firstly, in stories with a tiny preview image, the headline font size is enormous, leading to truncation of the headline. This often hinders my understanding of what the story entails. While I appreciate being able to curate my own feed of stories, I desire more diversity in the content. Despite following approximately 30 topics, 90 percent of the stories displayed relate to coronavirus alone, which limits the variety I seek.

I was excited to try this app at first, but it doesn't work well. The constant requests for notification permission even after I said no and turned off notifications really put me off. It was a major turn-off. Also, there's no way to just copy article links like you can in other apps - you have to use a weird sharing method that's not so great. The concept is good though, and I hope they fix these issues. I was considering subscribing, but it definitely needs some improvements before I do. 🤷

Others mentioned adding an option to open articles directly in the default browser. Also, having more control over the content displayed would be helpful. For example, seeing trending topics every time I open the app is unnecessary and adds more scrolling. Being able to filter out specific topics would be beneficial as well. Additionally, there shouldn't be a limit on how many sources I can block, especially since there are many unreliable sources out there.

This app is so great! It shows you news sources, their accuracy, and even gives insights into your reading habits. I adore it! There are similar apps out there, but Ground is the top one for me.
