i'm basic so all i really care about is the look and UX and this app is the best i've used so far. the navigation and search bar are at the bottom so it's perfect for a person like me with small hands but is using a big phone. there's also plenty of appearance customization so i could choose what layout i like the most. and most importantly, there are no ads on screen so it doesn't affect the look of the app. great app!
Update: now searches by artist or album return all songs in the database. Opening a specific album returns all the song ... And there's no one to contact....I installed eon as a music player when doubletwist blew up on me. It plays music reliably, I can make playlists. Fine. Can't edit tags, can't manage genres, "recently played" data doesn't work. No user help or documentation, no contact/support details.
It's a good app but there's some things that gives me problems. Sometimes, I would like to not see how much time I used when I listened to my music and want freeze history while being able to see how much songs I have but I can't 'cause both opens. Seeing how much tracks I played would often bother me when I just want to use it to enjoy listening to music so I would often restart my app just to not see that. It would be great to be able to flexibly choose which stats to see.
This player is boss. Quality-wise it kicks pretty much everyone else out of the water. Had cutoff issues with other players, but not this one. Tracks play as they were meant to as far as I can tell. Visual appeal is there too and no ads that I can see. I can't speak on some of the reviews saying they can't clear items from playlists without deleting them from the phone. Been afraid to try. Guess if you do, make sure you backup files somewhere. Thanks developers for a great music player!
The app plays many formats. The Eon favorites playlist is easy to add and remove songs. Creating new playlists is easy once you add a song by mistake it can't be removed. Or at least I haven't discovered how to do it. Many of my songs come across as unknown. The edit tags function isn't working to rename any song. Yes I paid for the upgrade expecting all these options to work. A help section would be nice. Shutting the player off in the background needs to be improved.
