How to Stream from Mobile Phone

Using the DLive “Go Live” App

DLive · Your Stream Your Rules

Open the DLive app on your smart phone and head on over to the profile tab (please ensure you are logged in).

Select the "Go Live" option.

Choose what kind of stream you wish to go live for,

Games

Captures your smartphone screen to stream games

IRL

Uses your front or rear facing camera to stream

⚠ You will be asked to allow access to your phone camera, screen/overlay and microphone.

 

Using the Streamer Dashboard

Using the channel dashboard you can set up / edit:

Stream Title

Language

Category

Tag (Family Friendly / Mature / X-Tag)

Replay Thumbnail

Save Replay of your stream

Stream Quality (360p, 480p, 720p)

The bitrate of your stream is automatically calculated based on the stream quality you select.  

To save your settings & Go Live, press the "Go Live" button.

When you select "Games" (Step 3) your screen will start streaming immediately.

When streaming games, you will only be able to access your live chat by switching to your DLive stream in the app or enabling the "float" option.  This is to prevent any overlays blocking key components of your gameplay.

Options Available:

Live Status & Uptime

Viewer Count

End Stream

Show Live Stream (pop out video player)

Stream Dashboard (Edit your Title / Category etc)

Float Chat - Toggles a Chat overlay

Rotating your screen will automatically rotate your live stream video.

🔴 IRL Streams

The live stream preview screen shows all the required information to help you keep in full control of your stream - these are only visible to you.

Viewers - Shows how many viewers are watching your stream

Chat - Shows your chat room (can be scrolled)

Close - Closes the stream preview and returns to the dashboard

Activity Feed - Shows your latest follows, subscriptions and donations

Share - Shares your channel URL to other applications (chat / social etc)

Switch Camera - Changes between Front & Back cameras (IRL Streams only)

Go Live - Starts your IRL Live Stream

    Hey there! If you're searching for options besides YouTube, let me suggest something for you. While the app seems to function fine, it lacks a vital feature that might bother you. When the phone screen is off, the audio and video pause, which makes it not so handy, right? This might not be a problem for others, especially if they mostly watch game streamers, who seem to dominate the DLive community. However, if that's not the kind of content you're into, then this platform might not be the best fit for you after all.

    I love this site! It's so easy to use and the people are so nice. The content is really interesting too. No complaints at all.

    You know, I've been using dlive for a while. But lately, I've noticed that with every update they make to the app, it just keeps getting slower and slower. It's frustrating because when I try to watch streams, they only load the first few seconds and then it's just stuck on loading. Even though my connection is good, nothing seems to work. Oh, and don't even get me started on the sticker system. It's been broken for so long! I wish I could delete and save stickers on the app, but it's just not working properly. They really need to fix that soon.

    The app is really bad. When you watch something, it keeps stopping and buffering all the time. You have to reload it to make it work again. Sometimes, the features in the app show up empty for no reason. Update: Even though I have the latest version of the app, these problems are still happening.

    I really like the app, it's such a good concept and they did a great job in making it. When I use the app, it makes me feel really happy just by watching it. However, there are some issues with bugs and the user interface that are stopping me from giving it a full 5-star rating. Sometimes, when someone gives out a gift, there is a loading box that pops up and never goes away even after the gift has been sent. Also, when you try to share a video and then return to the app, some parts of the video's interface and titles disappear. I can't copy text from the chat or click on any links. Another issue is that I can't remove my favorite emotes to add new ones. I hope these problems get fixed soon because I really enjoy using this app and my rating may change depending on how the app improves.

    The Dlive app is amazing! It's way better than the Mixer app and the community is full of awesome content creators! They cover games, music, news, and so much more. You've got to give it a try!

    I enjoy using the live streaming service, but unfortunately, the app is not very good. There is a big problem with the playback feature as it keeps restarting whenever I try to watch something. Another issue is that picture-in-picture only works with live streams, which is really frustrating. It doesn't make sense because if I'm watching a live stream, I would be interacting in the chat and wouldn't need picture-in-picture. However, when I'm replaying content, picture-in-picture is essential. It's so annoying!
